  1. Undefined Media

That machine is not made to print rigid material which is probably the issue. Normally the vinyl will wrap around the platen and cover that sensor. The rigid material doesn't wrap around it so light gets in and trips the sensor. The materials you are using are simply too thick for that machine.
  2. Need Help Damper running out of ink in the middle of the print?

Check the ink lines above the dampers for air bubbles. If there are any, there is an air leak most likely around the damper area. Did you change the little white clips and o-rings along with the dampers or just the damper itself?
  3. Undefined Media

Did this just happen out of the blue? Are you using clear material by chance? It basically means the sensor that detects whether there is material in the machine or not is not detecting properly. Usually it's because there is light getting into the sensor but sometimes it needs to be adjusted.
  4. Mimaki CJV30-100 inacurate feed length of print and cutting jobs

The adjustment you are looking for is called, "500mm Square". It's in the service mode #Adjust menu. You can get into service mode by holding remote and function while powering on. It will cut a 500mm square, you measure the x axis line in mm, and then take what you measured and subtract 500mm...
  5. Test print dragging Roland SP300v

That is definitely an electrical issue. Did you change the cable with the new head? If not, it may be damaged or have ink.corrosion on it. That pattern is an electrical short for sure. Could also be main board damage but it's almost always the cable or print head having an issue.
  6. 1638X Streaking?

As FatCat said, make sure nothing is dragging on the media from the carriage. Also, give your encoder strip a cleaning as that can also cause the heads to fire where they shouldn't. The other thing I would check is the wiper. Make sure it's making good contact with the head. If not, ink gets...
  7. Need Help SP-540 Head not firing after installing new DX4 Manifold

I have the fuses and fuse holders available on my site here. The holder makes it easier to change in the future if needed.
  8. VJ 1324 Nozzle issue

A cleaning cycle should pull air out of the ink system. Sometimes it could take 2 cycles but in a working system it should pull it right out. If the bubble stays in the ink line after cleanings it usually means the air is getting in somewhere. Usually it's the connection between the ink line and...
  9. Need Help Roland SP-540i not printing clearly and leaving lines

The black is deflecting all over the place which will cause quality issues for sure. You are going to want to make sure your cap top is nice and clean and make sure the tubes aren't clogged. Usually I will disconnect the cap top form the pump, hook a syringe to the pump tube and flush solution...
  10. 1638X Streaking?

Post a picture of the streaks. It will be easier to tell what's going on. Also, try printing with each head by itself. It's an option in the RIP. That way you can figure out which head might be causing the issue.
  11. Need Help Roland SP-540i not printing clearly and leaving lines

What does your nozzle check look like? Looks like you are missing nozzles.
  12. Question Mutoh VJ 1204a finished printing the graphic then I went to print something else and the power was o

Unplug the machine and let it sit for about half an hour. If you have an older 1204 that has the removable memory on the main board, remove it and air dust the terminal. Reinstall the memory and plug back in then power on and see if that does the trick. If not, you probably have a fried main...
  13. WTB: mutoh vj1604/1614 main board

    I have a used one from a 1604. 303-733-6671
  14. Mutoh 1614 streaks in magenta

I can get them from Mutoh but only as a set of 8 and it's around $133 no joke. You can try using 2mm ink line but I can't guarantee that will work long term. I have done it in a pinch as a temporary fix and it worked.
  15. TR2 Ink Conversion for Roland Printers

I think the decision to lock people out of service mode is going to come back to haunt them. It's an obvious ploy to monopolize the service calls. No independent techs, no DIY fixes, only Roland. Why would anyone buy a machine they can't fix?
  16. Rj900x good for vinyl?

The RJ900 series is a water based machine. While you can find some very expensive vinyl with a special coating on it that will work, it's not really made for vinyl printing.
  17. Software Help RasterLink 6 overcut

I had a chance to check out mine. It's in the Cutting Menu>Setup Sub Menu>Overcut.
  18. Software Help RasterLink 6 overcut

I believe that is a setting on the printer itself. Check in the cut menu for Overcut. You set the length you want it to overcut and then the machine will take care of it.
  19. Software Help RasterLink 6 overcut

It's in the "Composition" tab. I can't remember off the top of my head but you basically can reverse the composition and it will change the order of the print and cut.
  20. CJV150-160 Possible Damper problem?

The wiper is soft enough that it doesn't damage the head. You just don't want to touch it with something hard which could damage the nozzles or something that might push debris up into the nozzles so it's a good idea to avoid it in general. As far as ink dripping from the head, it could be...
