Flexisign Pro comes with a color profiler. I would suggest buying a spectrophotometer and making your own profiles. Saves a lot of time and money in the long run and you'll get consistent color. Relying on the manufacturer's profiles never worked with me.
We changed our Magenta head in February of '09. The only head we had to change out of warranty. Light cyan is giving us problems now. I've been printing in CMYK mode to avoid that head for the time being.
I did some tradeshow graphics and retractables with POPUP. Laminated the tradeshow graphics w/ 15mil polycarbonate and the retractables with 3mil cal Lamex. Had an extra tradeshow graphic rolled up in the shop. Looked at it today and there was delaminating and the POPUP material itself was...
I have a different model Seal laminator and used to have the same problem. I was told to adjust the nip setting so when it's set at "0" there is actually a small gap between the rollers. I can barely slide a piece of laser paper across the length of the rollers. Also make sure the right and left...
A customer supplied us with a roll of that stuff and it had the exact same smearing problem. I thought the roll was re-wound by hand since it wasn't a full roll when we got it and the roll got skuffed up in the process. We ended up using a different brand. It also printed kind of dull.
Brilliant Bob that worked perfectly. You just have to set up one file with vertical registration marks and the other with horizontal registration marks making sure they are on the same side of the artwork. Also I allowed a larger margin since my plotter likes a little extra vinyl on the back end.
We use a Pantone CMYK swatch book to find a close match for CMYK colors. Sometimes we plug the CMYK or RGB values into Photoshop or Corel and see what the closest Pantone color it picks out so we have an idea of what the color should look like. The colors are also going to depend on what color...
I have a pdf of the service manual. PM me and I'll send it to you. I've had the machine for about 4 years now and only had to replace one head out of warranty. Parts and labor was around $2000. Other than that we've had no problems. OEM inks are expensive too. Prints come out great!
Estimate and Quickbooks here. Had Cyrious for awhile but I think it was too much program for my needs. Actually it's for sale if anybody is interested. (Silver Ed. Bas. OOB 3.1 Version).
I just installed X4 and I noticed when I design using RGB Black or Uniform Black it separates into 4 CMYK Plates. Corel X3 used to just give me a solid black plate. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing or do I have to design in Pantone Black or CMYK Black?
I think this might work. Export a jpeg and uncheck the suppress option box. Then when you email a jpeg a dialogue box should pop-up before it opens your email program. You should be able to change the dpi there.
