i converted a cj-500 and 2 fj-50's to eco-solvent it's not that hard. there are plenty of threads about it here, try a search you can do it for under $1000

i started printing with solvent (splash of color FJ), then switched to eco-solvent. they don't compare, solvent is much better. BUT, the maintence is about 100 times more work.

without the motherboard its worth about $300
