  4. Looking to buy printer, 54”

Not sure who this question was directed to… The StratoJet Hawk CleanInks (synthetic inks) uses a water catalyst to bring the pigments to the media (not solvents or other chemicals), so the inks are sitting in hydrating water and not aggressive chemicals that can actually brake down pigments...

Our ADP (Advanced Dot Placement) tech will give you legible 2pt (as well as reversed) at all speeds. ADP takes advantage of the variable picoliter size but can control the enlightenment and overlap of the dot. You’ll get a sharp edge (font, line-art) and a much better transition between...
  10. Suggestions Best mid-level flatbed printer?

We have used many print heads over the years but lately, the Ricoh Gen 5 and 6 (for our UV printers) give us the best overall results and are more durable (stainless steel heads not ceramic). Nothing wrong with the Kyocera KJ4As but we also wanted more flexibility working with our tech and with...

  15. UV LED Printing ADA signs

Have you had architects refuse your uv signs? Not for ADA/Braille specs; there’s the usual ‘printing’ stuff :) We have to give a 5 year warranty on the signs we install, have you had problems with the longevity of the Braille/copy? Do you think a 5 year warranty is achievable? Indoor is no...
  16. UV LED Printing ADA signs

We do have a 4x4’ version of our flat bed
  17. Who makes the best UV LED printer for ada signs

Check State/County/City requirements or what’s laid out in your customers contract. Braille is what will need to be to code and CA is the strictest; we have multiple printers printing ADA/Braille in CA. Again, just check it out before you buy a printer for just that purpose.
  18. UV LED Printing ADA signs

You can look at a StratoJet, we have a lot of people printing both. In fact you can lay up to 16 layers of ink in one pass; Braille is usually between 58-64 layers. You can layer with White, Clear, CMYK, a combination and all other ink colors.
  19. UV & Eco solvent printer in the same room

I guess you should ask why he thinks so?! In a perfect world, any degassing toxics (VOCs) should be vented and filtered (anything with solvents: solvent, eco-solvent, latex). For UV, check with the ink manufacturer to see if they add solvents, not common, but some UV inks smell very bad and you...
  20. Suggestions Best mid-level flatbed printer?

Max heads can mean multiple things on our printer. You can add up to 9 heads (2 color per). 3x CMYK is max with room for 6 other colors. Feel free to give me a call to see what setup would work the best for what you need and get you a more precise price. Dan 562.287.2841
