Very easily...... on the Fill/Stroke editor tool panel click Advanced (or double click the actual color). On the Color Specs Window that comes up on the bottom left are the buttons. You want to hit New or you will be editing the currently selected color, from there you can name a color, tweak...
4000 PSI steam/hot pressure washer.... sand blaster, belt sander, etc. Handheld steamer with a lot of time and patience with some plastic scrapers and a couple of gallons of xylol to clean up. I'd also say by looking at that hood that I'd almost guarantee paint and/or clear coat damage.
SOLD!
We are buying a new printer and the cutter comes with it as part of the current promo from Mimaki. We do not need the cutter though as we are happy with our Summa S160T so the Mimaki cutter will be sold. I've already seen other shops do this very same thing -
Stupid forum software will...
Mrgood's suggestion of going to a sealed ink bag bulk system is good advise (or going to cartridges).
Open ink systems get some contamination in ALL the ink colors and also get additional gas in the inks. Open systems also introduce pressure issues and problems. When inks are produced they are...
I agree on some points as well. It is just not the same. On people with machine problems, I'm okay with that IF, IF, they bother to spend a bit of time searching for the answer which has likely already been posted. Font requests..... yeah a decent sponsor for quite some time that Fred had signed...
I'd also agree. The example shown is not all second surface. You can see the lettering is on the front.
One way though..... cut the lettering in vinyl as a stencil. Apply it, paint the lettering in. Wait for the paint to dry, cut the lettering again this time using the vinyl letters as a mask...
I have to admit..... that looks pretty darn cool. That has to be one awesome sign shop that put that on there. :D
Josh - shoot me a sample of the new version when you get some. As soon as we get some more out there I'll shoot you some pictures of it in use. Have not yet done our shop windows...
Its a good thing we are not using the average home printer then......
Of course even with our average wide format sign shop printers it is still not at all economical is comparison to mass produced commercial gift wrap. That being said, I forget what paper it was but we have done it in the...
Have not noticed that here (not yet anyways) and we have literally used a TON of it. I wonder if its a bad batch? We have been liking it better than the CV3. We are wrapping 39 new 2017 New Flyer Excelsior city buses and are on the final stretch now with 6 left to go. Interesting contract too -...
Another tip I just thought of.... if the trucks have grab handles mounted to the outer frame on each side of the door, there is very often enough cable on the door spools that you can literally pull the cable to the sides and hook it around the vertical grab handles... Be careful though and...
So what did you determine? I'm looking at potentially the same thing. Already have Flexi 12 and considering a Mutoh and want to know if the Mutoh version will see our existing production manager and send jobs to it. Would like to use the Flexi that comes with the Mutoh's as just another design seat.
I have not got my shipping notice yet but the first batch of those who pre-ordered are starting to ship now. I'm in that first batch but it could still be a month or more before all of the first batch does get shipped. Looking forward to it. They have made some nice progress on the overall...
Also one more tip.... Never give a price based on a big quantity promised unless they are going to sign a contract for the full quantity. When we do a quote for a large number of vehicles or anything else (installs or printing too, etc) because the customer says they have this many and they want...
Also count on the material being liquid laminated and not app taped. In other words its going to be thin, aggressive and hard to work with. Probably most of the doors will be junk Whit-Ing ones (with an emblem logo right about where that overlay should go) that are swelling up and rotting...
I agree except that it is not any thinner. MPI1105 is 2mil just like 3M 180 or Oracal cast. Each brand also has the thinner laminates as well as the traditional 2 mil laminates. We do use the 2 mil 1060 (we only use the thinner 13/1460 is we are wrapping something very curvy) for most things as...
