  1. What would you charge to letter this trailer?

You missed the point. You told SignManiac that the reason the industry is in the toilet is because equipment and supplies are inexpensive and that is incorrect.
  2. What would you charge to letter this trailer?

You can buy inexpensive equipment and supplies but you aren't obligated to sell your work for a pittance. If 3M dropped off a free truck load of vinyl and laminate at my shop tomorrow and Roland gave me a free printer on Saturday my pricing would not be any different this Monday than last.
  3. 13' Box Truck - Straight Cut Vinyl

I don't think there would be a significant difference between the time it would take to apply the cut vinyl design shown in the first image on this page and wrapping it fully.
  4. 13' Box Truck - Straight Cut Vinyl

I didn't comment if he "did alright" or not. You were told he got $2,300 for it with, as you say, $100 worth of material and you replied that you could wrap it (vinyl, ink, laminate, printer, laminator, etc...is more $ any way you add it up) for less. Sure, you could sell the job for less, but...
  5. 13' Box Truck - Straight Cut Vinyl

Why would you brag about that?
  6. 13' Box Truck - Straight Cut Vinyl

I hope a lot of people that read this post got an education too. Most important lesson, IMHO, is that when it's your business you need to be a leader and be in control of it. These sort of nightmare jobs occur when you believe "We gotta do what makes the customer happy..." and allow the client...

The high impact polystyrene you find at your sign supplier is not the same as ABS plastic.
  8. 20 pt. ABS board?

I've never made a sign with ABS but you can probably find what you need here.

  12. Another punk screwing up the sign biz.

The ad states "AS LOW AS $2.50 A SQUARE." Why does it appear that Pat and I are the only ones to notice this?
  13. can one buy these cubes?

You can make something like that with parts from 80/20. www.8020.net

I knew you were lying when you refused to tell us where the place is.

  19. What's wrong? Pic attached

Is it a 1/4" wide tinted clear plastic strip that sits behind the rail?
  20. What's wrong? Pic attached

This profile, media and ink combination have been used for 1,000's of sf. I'll try cleaning again. I'm not familiar with the encoder strip. If it's supposed to be cleaned this will be the first time I'm cleaning it!
