  1. What's wrong? Pic attached

Machine and all of it's parts are 2.5 years old. This just started happening today. On only the black printhead, the ink appears to continue spraying just very slightly past where it should have stopped. Head is clean, there are no stray hairs and I think if it were a static issue it would be...
  2. Pay Your Bills.

If/when you return the sign I think you should alter the business name to include "Not so." This makes sense if you search for "burger shop & cafe" on Google. Just saying.

  5. to laminate or not to laminate

If you want to make sure you're giving your customer a good quality coroplast sign then laminate it. It'll look better, last longer, application of the print will be easier, and when your customer sticks two signs face-to-face in their 150 degree trunk the ink won't stick together. The...

  9. Location,Location

I'm in an industrial building and work alone. I previously had a retail store. If I went to a walk-in type retail location now I'd need to hire an employee to deal with the walk-ins as they interrupt my work flow too much.
  10. 3m ij35-20

Here is the info I received from 3M. 3M - "Sometimes our liner on our films does not have any markings on it. This may happen if the manufacturer is near the end of the roll of liner that is applied to the films." Me - "Does this mean 3M is not the manufacturer of the IJ35 product?" 3M -...
  11. Wrapping an Armadillo...

FWIW, the Armadillo isn't a Ford thing. It's an aftermarket product that can be installed on a Chevy or Ford van chassis.
  12. 3m ij35-20

That's interesting. I never would have thought they'd subcontract. Thanks Wayne.
  13. 3m ij35-20

Fellers only offers the matte with the standard adhesive. The "C" signifies that its the Comply adhesive. Controltac is an altogether different feature that IJ35C definitely doesn't have. When it sticks it's pretty much stuck.
  14. 3m ij35-20

I've used a ton of the IJ35-10 (gloss) and IJ35C-10 (gloss with Comply adhesive). Both of those have a "3M Scotchcal" branded liner. I just received my first roll of 3M IJ35-20 ("-20" signifying that it has a matte finish) and it's liner has no printing on it at all. Anyone know if this is...
  15. Thermal Printing on Avery Metallics?

I've printed on silver metallic and not had a problem. If it doesn't work for you try printing onto clear vinyl and then apply that on top of the metallic.

  17. Shop van design critique

    No, just ironic.
  18. Shop van design critique

I also suggested you lose the halftones. I'll add that you might try changing "WRAPS" to yellow or silver/light grey.
  19. Shop van design critique

Lose the halftones, change GULFSIDE CUSTOM & SIGNS to white and increase the size of the blurry white outline around everything 100%.
  20. IJ-35c Sticking Problem

If you aren't going to laminate you must include instructions to your customer that the prints can NEVER touch face-to-face.
