  1. McMaster-Carr - this one might be a record

McMaster-Carr is my go-to for literally anything and everything. Order by 6Pm, and it's delivered the next day. Don't need it? Send it back with absolutely no hassle. Calling in, their CS team is full of knowledge. If you ever are in the area of a McMaster-Carr DC, I suggested visiting. I went...
  2. Where to find grommets for thicker material?

Talk to Jackie @ Stimpson. She has always taken care of us and can answer all your questions. 1-800-393-5381
  3. Digi Print Supplies

Ordered 4, $2800 heads from them for a TX500 acid dye machine. Took weeks of calling daily to get them to update us. Will never use them again, and I advise anyone else to steer clear, use every other resource available, especially if you're in a rush for parts.
  4. Discussion Mimaki UCJV300-130 UV printer

What print settings are you using? Resolution and Pass Count? Have you built a custom profile for the print media? If the material is "cold laminate" don't max the heat out, just add a little bit. I had silvering issues with blacks too, so I set the top and bottom rollers to about 85 degrees...

  8. help with EFI 16H

You need to be closer to the media. 1.5mm head gap. Also, your white is not white. Do a jet test and post a photo. Even better when you have black media so we can see how those white heads look. To me, it looks like you are firing 50% of the nozzles on the white heads. Lastly, you are printing...
  9. Need Help ID Manufacturer that made this sign - Copper on Wood panel tactile lettering

Not sure how you would ID the maker of that specific sign... but it looks pretty cut and dry. Copper sheet, ~ 3mm wood or similar substrate painted black. The curve would be the trickiest part I suppose.
  10. printing on flourescent vinyl....colour

Looks great! What did you end up doing to achieve the result you were wanting?
  11. EFI H1625 Ink Fading

Sounds like the floats in the sub tanks are getting stuck, or you have pumps going out. Are you under ESP? I HIGHLY recommend a service contract.
  12. printing on flourescent vinyl....colour

You could create a gradient of the monster logo, print that onto the flouro vinyl. After you get the colors in the gradient to mimic the monster logo. And apply the printed/cut logo on top of the skin.
  13. printing on flourescent vinyl....colour

Ohhh, you are wanting the bright green to still show the fluo yellow base material underneath it? Not just be fluo on the unprinted areas... Still the color atlas will give you your best chance at seeing which mixture of CMYK will give you the green you're after.
  14. EFI H1625 Ink Fading

Sounds like a negative pressure issue. When was the last time you changed all your filters? What is your negative pressure value on the CMYK side and what is it on the White Ink side?
  15. printing on flourescent vinyl....colour

Do you have a printer with white ink? That would be the easiest way, obviously. Otherwise, I would print a color atlas and use the highest resolution/pass count to try and cover up the fluo base material.
  16. Question What's the deal with 60" vinyl?

HP Prime Air GP (Gloss or Matte) is $172.13 / Gloss or Matte Laminate is $146.63 totaling $318.76 with FREE shipping. (Permanent Adhesive) HP Optimal (Only available in gloss) is $248.63 / Gloss or Matte Laminate again is $146.63. Totaling to $395.26 (Removable)
  17. Question What's the deal with 60" vinyl?

For the life of me, I do not know why all PSA manufacturers stop at 60" width. I hate having to tell clients that ask for a 5' x 5' + vinyl graphic that "welllll, it will be like 4' 10" even though the printer can accept 64" wide media.
  18. Discussion STS inks. Anyone have experience with them?

I ran their Aqueous inks in 2 Epson SureColor p8000’s. Chips weren’t recognized half the time, and both printers lost the LK channel in the heads. I’d look at alternatives. We have run JTECK for 6+ years.
  19. Font ID Please!

    Looks like https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/minifonts/sportster/
  20. Dye Sublimation Paper

Coldenhove, been using it for 13 years and will never stop. Have tried Beaver (horrible). Felix Schoeller is pretty good as well. If your printer is 64” wide I can send you a sample roll, just pay shipping.
