Regardless of IF everyone can be replaced, which I don't personally think they can, the important part is what you are worth to them. You very well may be worth more or less to other companies, but they will have a cap on what they can afford to pay, and frankly what they think you are worth.
Has anyone using Onyx to create the barcodes and Cut Server to create the cut files had the issue where the leading number on the Cutfile is moved to the end of the barcode number? Just getting this installed and everything works except this. Obviously the Summa says it can't find the file it...
Hi Frank,
You seem pretty well versed on the Summa Cutters and Onyx. I have Thrive 12 and a Summa S2. I'm trying to set up the barcode reader, but when onyx prints a barcode on my M64 Colorpainter, it's dumping tons of ink, and the barcode never dries, and even starts to run and smear. Is there...
I'm guessing this is a SP(i) machine. The fuses you have pictured are for the heaters and not the heads. On the SP models, the fuses are soldered onto the board and are not serviceable without unsoldering and resoldering new ones in.
Is there cyan/black ink leaking onto the head? If everything...
the peck tool will not work with all the leading zeros, both in the peck tool itself, and in your network settings of your pc/laptop.
So example is in your ipv4 settings of your network card, you want something like 192.168.1.10 for your computer's settings. Then your printer will be the same...
I honestly didn't read all the responses lol. But I think the answer to your question is because of embedded profiles. You really need the printer to be calibrated to what the RIP is intending to send.
Therefore the color swatches that are scanned with the i1 or whatever device you have are...
What's your go to for printing and cutting individual logos and lettering?
Currently use IJ180 w 8518 but it doesn't small lettering out worth a damn.
If you have to print the letters, laminate then cut out say 3/4" tall lettering for long term vehicle use, what's your best stuff?
3rd party ink is a crapshoot. I know there are ink dealers on here that will say 'it's not the ink', but I've been on over 1000 service calls. Sometimes, it's the ink.
If you have 1 printer, and you use 1 set of inks every 2 months, and say it's half price off of OEM so you save $350/$400 every...
The M is a great machine. Oki printers do require a bit more maintenance than Mimakis, but the prints are gorgeous. The heads are more robust, the take up is a smart take up that will reverse automatically, etc.
The Mimaki is a good machine too. If print/cut on one machine is important...
