One thing to always check when getting a 'carriage is not connected' error is the belt tension. 99 out of 100 times I've come across that error, the belt tension was off, or the belt itself was bad.
ok so maybe I wasnt clear.... the IPv4 settings in your network config cant have the leading zeros.
I would try 192.168.1.50 at your computer and 192.168.1.100 on the printer. 255.255.255.0 subnet
And if this is a direct connection without a hub or switch, then you dont need a gateway so just...
well the control panels can go bad, although rare. There is only one ribbon cable that feeds the control panel, so remove and inspect the prongs and make sure they are all good and aligned properly.
If a tech just replaced the power board and you're having power issues.....
I can promise you, after installing over 100 Roland machines, they are not the same. The machines will not accept leading zeros. 192.168.050.100 will not work but 192.168.50.100 will.
ok, design you sticker and or decal 1 up and save as an EPS/PDF and done. I never suggest or accept someone's file that has done the nesting/stepping for me.
You don't know the size of equipment, material or lamination that your printer has so don't make their job harder than it needs to be...
