  1. LED Exposure unit

I didn't know that LED lamps are capable of putting out enough nanometers of UV wavelength. Is it even possible?
  2. Large format Cricut??

Just in to WalMart tonight and saw that Cricut now boasts a 24 inch cutter. I'm sure print capabilities are not too far behind.
  3. Critique please

"Come for the Care"...I'm having a hard time with the tag line. Why else would I be coming there for....free bingo, 3 square meals a day, and perhaps a grumpy room mate? Sorry...I just had to throw that in for fun. But seriously, it's a marketing issue, not just a sign issue. Try using...
  4. cutting with a gerber on the cheap

SignLab has a starter program for around $500. Much of my SignLab 8 work is done via imported Illustrator files. I think you can get a functional demo copy so you can try it out to make sure you like it. I've been running a 20 year old Gerber GS15 with mine, and it works great.

First and foremostly, keep it out of direct sunlight. The uv causes accelerated deterioration of these drums. An opaque dust cover is a "must have" for these little guys.
  8. Rant about Illustrator

I run a combination of AutoCAD, SignLab 8, and Illustrator CS5. Each program does a few special things that the others can not do, or do very easily. My main design program is Illustrator, but I do node editing in ACAD and any precise drawing /layout or vectoring. Everything gets exported out...
  9. Who needs fancy stuff to print shirts?!

Awesome...considering he's applying the second color and has no registration pins for alignment with each shirt.
  10. #10 Business Envelopes

Yep...just checked with my local printer and they are very competetive and do excellent work.
  11. KFC specs....

You'd better go directly to the corporate offices for this one. I've seen these kinds of deals go bad, especially when the sign might be placed right next to another sign that has the colonel's "original recipe" PMS colors.
  12. font id #2 today!

    It's a bold version of Edwardian Script...without a doubt.
  13. Van Lettering... yeah, it's a scam...

"Rug cleaning" Sorry, but nobody calls that fuzzy stuff that goes from wall to wall a "rug". Especially industry professionals...which he definitely IS NOT. RUN....
  14. anyone ever seen a time like this?

Obviously a case of colon trouble.
  15. Hidden Meanings in 12 Popular Logos

Cool...anybody still remember the old Proctor & Gamble logo....moon & stars?
  16. Quarterly Business Taxes...

Yep...I've been thinking of that as well.
  17. "Glasses Free" 3D Technology

C'mon...you know that has to be fake!

  19. Un-Freakin-Believable

It was in a local paper from my hometown and I can't find the link anywhere. But it did cause quite a stir due to the ethnic population. Anyway, here's a blurb from a Snopes messageboard for what it's worth: http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=103;t=000302;p=0
