I saw the diage 4 at the atlantic city show, and it looked to be a pretty good machine, it just doesn't have the fancy options like some of the more expensive machines.
Understood but that is using epson media, there are other media availbe that is rated 2 two 3 years.. as kalvix says its not the inks the are the problem its the media.
So if you use the right media you can get several years outdoors..
look at signwarehouses prismjet which is a Mutoh they...
I spoke with People at Beacon Graphics, at the USSC show and they are Claiming 5 years outdoor Life Laminated..
I currently have a decal that was printed on the r1800 that uses the same inks and has been out side for almost two years and it looks as good as the day I printed it...

Hey No problem, that info came from Beacon Graphics when I ordered the GX-24. The Note said "ATTENTION FLEXI USERS!"

Set up the gx-24 for flexi
1. Press menu key several times untill the UNSETUP is displayed.
2. Click the Down arrow followed by the > Arrow to display FORCE.
3. Click The Down Arrow button 3 Times until ROTATE is displayed.

Yes, there is a setting on the gx-24 there should have been a warning letter.. explaining that you need to change the rotation setting on the cutter for different software used, flexi is one of them.. I can't remeber what the steps are, I will have to check when I get back to the shop..
Im not looking to purchase Just happened to notice they have a new model out..and one of the changes that cought my eye is they no longer use the "sled" ..
I was more interested in what others might think being, The "sled Idea" was one of the problems people where having with the unit..along...
Anyone see the new quikmount4, looks like they are getting away from the sled, They added a paper liner so the laminate will not stick to the rollers, They also added Silicone covered rollers.
Any one have the new version??
