Ok, so I watched that video and also this one which explains about the Hot folders. I'm not great with Networking but how do I have those hot folders on my desktop on the mac? or do you put them in a better location?

Thanks but that doesn't seem to erase the custom network settings but either way I managed to sort my issue, a bit of dirt was stuck on the network cable which stopped it communicating.
