I agree with the FB. I have had my HP FB500 for 3 years now and love it. Runs 8-10 hours a day with no issues. I print front/back all the time. Great machine.

I have the Royal Sovereign 1401 laminator and love it. No issues whatsoever. It's much better than the Seal 54el.

We typically use 13 oz key banner from Grimco. Also use 18 oz banner as you just have to slow it down a bit. We also hem mesh banners on it.

You can make a pole pocket as you adjust the input guide.

The welds are good. Only time they come apart is if you are running it too fast. Only drawback is the width of the weld is about 3/4". Would be nice if it were a little wider. I'll upload some photos on Monday. I hear they are releasing an updated machine wI the next couple weeks...

Working great so far. I have not had 1 problem and hemmed 5+ banners daily. I give it my blessing.

Can you let us know how it turned out?

I only use 3M reflective. Oracal's reflective does not hold up like 3M and will fade sooner. We usually laminate reflective to dibond and then flatbed print 4' x 8's. I feel your pain having to print roll to roll on 48".

I use 3M IJ5000 reflective and it is actually 48.5" wide x 50 yards. Prints great.

We use Abaco Beach from Korographics and i contract out the installs to a wallpaper installer. He uses regular wallpaper adhesive without any issues.

I've had my FB500 for 2 1/2 years and have been down only once. Still have original heads with 0 dropout across all the heads. Been a great machine.

Also are you verifying how much ink is in the box? I have it tell me I have 0% ink left but there is still plenty. I always open up the boxes when I get to 5% to see how much ink is actually left.

Have you checked your ink waste container? Your FB goes through a lot of ink in the cleaning cycles.

I have a Highway Handyman and love it. It was around $2000 and we use it everyday.

Lol. I would pass. No way I would take that job. Even if material doesn't stretch how can you be sure your printer will be correct?
