I too am interested in this product but they make it so difficult to buy or even find pricing. If they had an online store or a distributor link I would buy it right now.
Sherwin Williams makes a good one part aluminum paint that we have used to paint posts and they turn out good. Just have to sand any rough spots out. Use .o80 alum with digital print and overlam and you should be good.
I too have had failures with Arlon a couple years ago. I switched to 3M IJ180CV3 and have not any issues since then. Yes it is more expensive but the peace of mind more than makes up for it.
Run Forrest Run. I wouldn't touch it. Trying to match it up exactly will be very tough. Also the RV owner is typically retired and has nothing to do but watch you work and pick out every issue. Removal will be difficult and try not to damage the body. Not worth the trouble.
We use Briteline 10ml pvc from Grimco through our Roland. Use them for posters or cheap outdoor signs. Prints great on the Roland. Just use normal settings and generic print profile without any issues.
I would not have used a calendared material. We only use 3M IJ180 CV3 for vehicles and trailers. The shrinkage on the calendared material will be obvious after 6 months.
I have had my FB500 for 2 years now and in that time have had 2 service calls. It runs 8+ hours a day and a true workhorse. I'm not sure the same reliability can be said about CET.
I had a Seal 54el and ended up sending it back because I kept messing up jobs. Very difficult to set up between jobs. I ended up getting the Royal Sovereign 1401 for about the same price and couldn't be happier. So much easier to use and no mess ups. The tension bar makes a big difference...
This lack of communication from Rao has me a little worried. I have too sent him an email to come answer these questions.
My number one concern right now is my data. I have been trying to download my data and am having problems because you have to type in a date range for it pull up that...
I have a FB500 without the roller option and print a lot of banners on it. I use reverse wound banner material and line up to the rollers. The printer pulls the roll material by itself. Feed it in up to the alignment bar and usually advance the image 7" so the banner edge does not hit the...
I use a an empty roll core and start from one end of the material to pull up the liner and attach it to the core then roll the liner off. It makes it much easier to remove and eliminates any streak marks when printing. I have an FB500 and do not see any streak marks.
