I'm not as technical as most that have posted here, but I would automatically assume that it was the guys washing the trucks.... I would at least ask the customer this... if they say its not then its not... you can't call them out. who knows they might admit some fault.

I notice mine are generally harder to install after just a couple of weeks (lots of humidity around here)... we cut to order so we don't have to worry about it too much... we also use the dirt cheapest application tape we can get our hands on.

If you will make your money back off this customer plus some then redo the sign and point out that you sent a proof to them. If this is not someone who you feel you can make money off of again then point out that you sent a proof before printing and if you fix it it will cost him at least...

I would contact law enforcement... Forward the emails to your local sheriff ... he is an elected official and generally cares more than the rest.
