  1. Sales tax question

Dick move, didn't know we were throwing personal jabs. Just providing my professional opinion in this scenario.
  2. Sales tax question

Sales and Use tax go hand in hand. He provides you a resale license, you pass off the burden of collecting the sales tax to the buyer, end of story. If he uses his resale license to avoid paying the sales tax, but opts to use the product, then the buyer is responsible to pay the sales tax in the...
  3. Sales tax question

IMO, you can't be held responsible for someone else's use tax. If you have a resale license on file with any retailer, they don't spend any amount of time verifying whether or not you're going resell or use. If you want to cover yourself, include his resale certificate on the invoice and mark...
  4. Why are my prints so grainy?

Lower it and run the same material. We would have the same issue when we'd forget to drop the head back down after running some thicker material.
  5. Why are my prints so grainy?

    Head height set to high?
  6. Roland Soljet ProIII XC-540

A few years back, we had a similar issue and it ended up being a pinch roller that was worn and not feeding the material in straight. Ended up replacing all the rollers, but just remember the end rollers are tapered, so pay attention to which way they are sloped if you take them off.
  7. Best Medium Budget Air Scrubber for Solvent Printers

Get a charcoal filter and mount an inline fan to it. Stand it up in the corner and let it circulate air in the room. If you have a hydroponic store in your area, you can probably find it there, otherwise amazon and ebay are your friends.

Ex? Why do you want to help her?!?! Haha We use the 2" Gold-Line Premium Tesa Tape from JDS Industries. The stuff has been rock solid.
  9. ‘Double sided’ banners

I print mine end to end and use a special double-stick tape that I found to be better than anyone's so called 'hem/banner tape', to make the entire banner. I fold it in such a way that the top and bottom pockets are stout and have never had one fall apart. I have a pending order for 96 banners...

by 2022 California will have the entire state at a minimum wage of $15, 50% increase in a matter of 6 years. For a lot of businesses, labor is the biggest expense and becomes problematic for businesses stay afloat when it increases so dramatically. Other cities and states are following suit...
  14. Suggestions Have a need for some ideas...............................

Even if they're non-ferrous, you can still use magnet with a cheap throw away piece of scrap metal on the inside. Being this customer is going to fill the container, I doubt they'll want to recover those pieces. A flat, iron-frame, that can be pulled out afterwards might work too. 60 magnets...
  15. Suggestions Have a need for some ideas...............................

I'd go with banner and hooked/good size rare earth magnets every 12".
  16. Roland VG 540 - Inaccurate colors (Blue = purple) - Pooling - Blurry Images - Overspray

Find a bigger pantone chart (or several) online and save it to a safe place. Print it on all the materials you will be using at the shop and use it for spot color reference. You can pick a color from the printed chart and use the file to find the correct color read-out. What you see on monitor...
  17. Weber T300?

Are these photographic banners being hung up outside? I'm building (2) 20' tables, one with a vacuum table using a hand welder with a rail to keep it straight, and the other will use a hemtek for short/fast hems. Also going to offer un-hemmed banner for indoor, cnc cut to size at a lessor amount.
  18. Roland VG 540 - Inaccurate colors (Blue = purple) - Pooling - Blurry Images - Overspray

Bi-directional alignment needs to be performed and it seems your print head is too high, creating overspray. How does your test print look? Maybe someone before you contaminated the ink or crossed the lines. A printhead test print should tell you right away.
  19. Metallic Vinyl Stickers

Let the material out gas completely and laminate, you should be able to print/cut all day long with most materials using solvent ink.
  20. Metallic Vinyl Stickers

What do you mean " print to the edge?" All they do is bleed the image; easy to do in most cases. Looks a lot better than leaving a border around the design and you can give them a 'true' size product of their design. The 80600 allows them to produce the special effects on various materials, with...
