  1. Choosing a RIP

If it has a licence for i1Publisher, then you're on the right track, but it's a slightly steep learning curve. If it predates i1Publisher, I'd follow Grey Squirrel's advice and buy from Onyx with training and support. youtube - Expert training may be a better use of your time.

  4. Pre press artificial intelligence

Colour management would be relatively trivial for a company such as* X-Rite, basiccolor or SwissQprint to bring in. Each media gets profiled, printer knows what is loaded, appropriate profile gets applied. Start of each job / stack / batch, test pattern is printed and checked, and either passed...

Crappy flourescent lights. Lower image is IJM538, upper IJM538 with Drytac Photosatin UV laminate. Text is 6pt.

I know aqueous is frowned upon here, but with laminated prints we get 5+ years external sunlit life (London, not Coventry). We run through a few rolls of IJM538 (80micron, monomeric) with Drytac Photosatin UV (40micron), each month - we get rich, vibrant, detailed prints that pass for gallery...

  12. Static on pallets of Palram Palight 3mm PVC

6mm DiBond is even better - damned huge body jolting capacitor. Fortunately we don't seem to have many dry days in London. I've not found insulating myself from ground (decent multi trade boots) helps much - I get the feeling that static prefers flesh to plastic - got zapped right in the middle...

  17. printing on oracal 651

Hey Lynn, I've been researching endlessly through myriad sources to find out whether I can print, etch or engrave upon a reflective or non-reflective medium or media, a patern that will deter Arachnida from the subphylum Chelicerata from developing, building or constructing silken strings other...
  18. Our Seal 62 Base will not run in normal mode.

The optical sensor is the chrome device with the fetching green cap, attached to the top roller mounting plate. First time I had one fail, it was a £100 part, and took half an hour to user replace (different manufacturer, almost certainly same family of part). Second time I got stuck in...
