There's a really easy solution for this. No new programs needed: Highlight all the files, hold down shift and right click over them. Choose "copy as path" and paste into a text file. Done.

Leave the plastic shell on it and wrap over it. I wouldn't worry too much about the lugs moving. If they do, it will be very minor.

Check your CMYK values for the blues that are turning purple. You probably have too much magenta and it's pushing the color over in that direction. If memory serves me correctly, you never want more than 20% more magenta than cyan. (or something like that)

In illustrator, it is based on the arrangement of layers. We always do a series of "bring to front" or "send to back" to get things in the order we want so cutting is more efficient.
