'Just called a minute ago ND MTL & ND TOR for SCPS-55 availability. Not in stock but they have a roll in Edmonton so I can get it next Tuesday... I mentioned Winnipeg branch is "supposed" to keep one in stock for a shop over there but it says "0" in their inventory... well...

In my area, we are 7 signshops within a 4km radius. Sure, we're not all friends but could you imagine how easy it is to step on someone else's toe? The only times I called the other guys is when someone step in my office with a design in hand and it's evident they are not the author... So I...

  6. Critique my Vehicle Wrap

I'll take plain old boring lowercase helvetica over uppercase Benguiat any day. Also, what's wrong with having two words in your name? +1 There's a bunch of worldwide brands that use Helvetica (some with minor mods.). I like your 2nd attempt (the one w/o the 2nd arc on back of cab) :thumb:
  7. How do I make my text follow this curve on this van hatch?

If you're in the car following the van, this section is supposed to be level so what I do in this kinda situation, I cut it straight and apply it according to the bent of the backglass. If you were going to produce web address kits to supply a big company with branches everywhere and would like...
  8. why have I been using medium tack premask all these years?

I use 3M's for like 20 years now. 'Been struggling with few cheaper no-name brands in my early years until I decided I deserved a better, thicker transfert tape. No more annoying wrinkles... and in the ol' days I remember I almost fell down from a scaffold because when I was pulling off the...
  9. Monument font: need help

Thanks for your offer but job's done already. After I found the font, I zoom it at the max just before loosing too much details (blurry) so after importing it into Flexi, it has been converted in a snap. Tweaking few corners here and there... voilà! I always prefer using actual fonts whenever...

As you can see on the pic in 1 post, there's a shape engraved under the last name but we have another name / date to add. The family wants the last name with the 3 others, not under the shape. I don't know the reason and the rest of the story but that's what I had as explanations...

Yeah, they seems to make a very good living. They have 13 funeral homes in my area (some small, some very big & state-of-the-art). As I do all of their vehicles, signs & other projects, I have to do what they ask for. They are good customers for me, I treat 'em good. But I admit, this one...
  12. Monument font: need help

Don't repeat it but I've been asked to make a "patch" for an error made many years ago when they carved it. I will print a section of 6" x 28" of this Canadian Pink granit with new text (light bevel + texture effects) then wrap a piece of aluminum composite. They will handle the installation...

3951+290 hand down. If you don't feel comfortable installing «regular» sticky adhesive vinyl, maybe you could use a li'l RapidTac in order to laying it down easily. Just make sure it's getting like a fully day in the sun prior to hit the water.
