I always use matte for walls. JBurton is definitely right about 3M luster basically being gloss, honestly their matte looks more like satin as well. I would stick with Arlon if you’re looking for matte or luster. You can also buy Arlon in shorter roll lengths. I believe they sell 30,100,and...
I haven’t had any issues getting black vinyl. Print media, laminate, and pretty much every color of wrap film on the other hand has been rough. The only silver lining is that I’ve been forced to but brands and materials I have never used and realized I actually like some of them. Trying to look...
I worked at a sign company that’s been in business for 106 years, they had a rack just like this but about 5X the size… they kept every scrap piece but never used them lol. I swear there was old materials in there from 100 years ago.
That’s actually not a bad idea, I will make a nice reflective floor decal marking the area to stay clear. Thanks for the input! As far as aluminum sheets, I probably wouldn’t use that specific rack for something that heavy. I believe it’s rated for 600lbs, I know it would lift more but I’m not...
This was definitely a concern, but, the hardware holding it up there could probably support a tank. It has multiple layers of overkill attachments so I can sleep at night.
If French cleats are something that you use often, why not just take a couple hours and cut a bunch of them and store for later use? Then you can make a mess one time and have a large supply? Or like Johnny Beat said, buy some aluminum z-clips…
Just recently installed an overhead storage rack that raises to the ceiling when we don’t need it. When we need sheet stock it uses a remote and drops to the floor. I installed it right behind out flatbed printer so sheets can be dragged right from the rack onto the table and then sent back to...
I’ve had 3 different Roland printer/cutters and none of them were ever able to stay accurate on decal jobs over 2-3’. If I had to make 200 decals I would have the break it up into several sections that stay under a couple feet. The size of the decal never mattered much, it was more about the...
I explained this to him already and he seems pretty set on his plan, we’ve agreed already on orders of 500+ sets at a time that way regardless of his success level it will be worth it for me. He seems to think he has an edge that his competitors don’t, who am I to kill his dream lol.
I used to have similar problems with my VG2 and I’m in the PNW, plenty humid here most of the time.
Mine wasn’t that consistent with bands though, some days it would print ok and some days it would look like that, other times it would print fine and put a band in the middle of a large print...
