How often do you close flexi and re-open?
It seems like mine the longer you have flexi running,
(I will have had it run sometimes a week at a time)
the more apt you are to have it crash.
It also seems to happen more when working with large bitmap files than with vectors.
I try to close and...
Just add it to what ever com port, then open the production manager. Right click on the Summa D120, select change port then change to the appropriate port.
Have the tech come out and make it work.
If it does not work, and is wasting time and material and you can still send it back then its a no brainer.
I personally fought with that machine finding the marks using flexi and cut master and never had any consistency.
I have never had those problems...
Send it back, we had the same problems as you, wasted alot of vinyl and didn't save a minute of time. Which was the biggest reason for buying the graphtec. We sent ours back after the tech came here and couldn't get it to work either, didn't buy it from sw though.
Call drew at summa and don't...
Here is a pic of the Arlon wrap vinyl next to a piece of carbon fiber.
you can see its not as glossy but so far its the closest to looking like the real carbon I have seen. its available in 60" rolls, 10 or 25yards.
Only material we have trouble with our summa is when printing on chrome, or metallic vinyl.
It has never, not found the marks on white vinyl, matte or gloss.
Now I could never get the fc8000 by graphtec to find the registration marks on gloss vinyl, the salesman couldnt even get it to work...
If you use Flexi you can print the summa, graptec, etc marks on the roland printer then send the cut to a different plotter.
I'd look at a summa first.....been where your at
You'd do this when the object was completely created with photoshop and has no vectors. Flexi handles it just fine. I also do it your way when I use a vector, import it into photoshop to render an effect then I save as a jpg cause the file size is smaller and I have a path to countour cut with...
Flexi 10.5 pdf does not handle transparencies any differently than in 8.1 you will get the same white behind any part of the transparent graphics ie shadow or a gradient that goes from color to transparent.
If you need a color other than white for a background draw it in photo shop on a...
If you have it set to center the print on the sheet, then hit poll sheet size after printing it will throw off the contour cut because you can almost never get it back in the machine with exactly the same amount of printable area.
If you don't hit poll sheet size after printing it usually...
Our sales rep brought in a sample of Arlon wrap Carbon fiber that looked exactly like the real thing. I have a piece of real carbon here we compared it to.

I am having some problems with the production manager,
1. It cannot print my files that use a repeating bitmap tile made into a pattern fill. I reported this when I first upgraded to 10 and they told me they new it was a problem.
2. Randomly after setting 1" indent for both x and y axis...
Make sure you use the 3220 laminate which is cast, not the 3420. The 3420 is calendered and shrinks alot. We use the 3220 laminate with 4560gtx for cheap customers.
Here is a screen shot its on the right had size probably 1/6 of the screen.
I was on the phone twice today with support and they were able to help me and and answered quickly.
Can you post a direct link to where I down load this from?
It was hard for me to tell if I was downloading the right thing.
I have a version of flexi 10 that we don't use due to some issues and I would like to see if any were fixed. We are currently using 8.6 and for my money 8.1 was the...
