+1 signs2trade does good work from my experience.
  2. Problems with Oracal Vinyl

If you are buying from US Cutter, you are probably getting old stock... that may be why their prices are so much cheaper than other places. I bought some vinyl from US Cutter about a year ago and I used it for one job (profanity laden weeding sessions) and the rest is still sitting on my rack...
  3. Air Bubbles AFTER install - (several days after)

Dry application. I thought about out-gassing but didn't give it much credence since it is aluminum. :Big Laugh You might be onto something with the cure time... I outsourced the printing so I don't know how long before it was laminated.
  4. Air Bubbles AFTER install - (several days after)

Can anyone explain why I would have air bubbles showing up several days AFTER an install? I installed an 8'x8' sign made from printed vinyl applied to two 4'x8' sheets of .040 Aluminum. The vinyl looked great when I finished, looked great after I hung the sign and when I stopped out to see the...

  6. Hextek and Kryptek Stencils

I created my own "Kryptek" style stencil (for personal use) using a basic honeycomb vector which I distorted to resemble the Kryptek pattern.

  8. VVivid Vinyls, anyone used them?

I just picked up a few yards of their chameleon carbon fiber the other day..... Actually, I'm quite impressed with it for the price. It is super thick and had to cut it with a 60 degree blade and about 200g of down-force (I cut some pretty detailed things) but application was easy and...
  9. Printing issue sp300v help desperately needed

As rjssigns said, give the encoder strip a thorough cleaning and whle you are at it, give EVERYTHING a good manual cleaning, change the wipers and try again. Had this happen on a SP300V at a shop I was working at and the encoder strip needed to be replaced. Cleaning it manually got us through...

  11. Feed back please

I was thinking he looked like the bus driver from the Simpsons - then I read your comment and laughed a little. The design has limited potential but it is not terrible. I would steer away from the "cutesie" looking mascot/cartoon character but that's just my own opinion.
  12. question. anyone that designs in photoshop can you help me out

  15. Coro or Polystyrene? Temporary signage

Finished Polystyrene signs Here is a photo of the finished sign. I think it turned out great. They wanted to get away from the boring black & white and come up with something more modern and colorful. After printing, I added some red reflective vinyl to the eyes on the lower right corner...

Anyone know what this font is? No help on whatthefont.... it's probably one of those million freebie fonts that have some odd name.
  19. Customers are so ignorant...

I just had one of these rare customers. He called with some basic questions, sent me a photo of the crappy 4'x8' signs he has currently and simply said "Can you make new ones that look good? I need three." I said I could, and quoted him a great price (great for me and fair for him) with 2...
  20. Coro or Polystyrene? Temporary signage

We went with the .040 polystyrene - they really liked the samples I showed them. Remind me to post pics when it's all done.
