I have seen a sharp increase in quality issues with Signs365 in the past 60 days on both vinyl and magnetic.
It seems the ONLY thing that hasn't been messed up lately is their banners. So far (knock on wood) their banner products have been flawless except one where they forgot the grommets...
I thought of that too.... but the customer doesn't want banners. He said "banners droop, sag and flop around in the wind". Of course we all know if installed correctly, a banner would work great. (I have a better price point on banners too )
I have a customer wanting (3) 4'x8' signs (printed) for their haunted forest attraction to be installed over their existing outdoor signage. What would you all recommend?
Coroplast was my first thought but then I thought about polystyrene. The customer might use these signs again next...
It would seem that I am going to have to manufacture my own media scroller. There is a similar request from 2011 that also went unanswered. I wonder if they ever found a solution?
Hi, looking for a source for a new (or new to me) media scroller for the Falcon outdoor 62". I bought a used Falcon and when I unpacked everything and set it up, there was no scroll bar to feed the media. :banghead:
Anyone have one laying around or know where I can find one on the cheap?
Thanks!
^^^Pretty much correct^^^^
Regardless of the color format (RGB or CMYK) printers print in CMYK and your monitor displays RGB What looks good on the screen can print horribly and what looks horrid on the screen can print flawlessly- with that being said the black should be made of CMYK (C=100...
Even with my BEST prices I can't even touch a roll of 3M wrap vinyl for $200... at BEST they are using off-brand calendared vinyl which will shrink and fail within a month.
I found vehicle wraps using 3M products for $200!!!!!!!!!!!
ANY COLOR including Carbon Fiber or Metallic?????
WOW!!! I am going to outsource ALL of my wraps starting Tomorrow!!!!

I got a similar same scam about 6 moths ago for screen printed shirts. They asked for a quote for 400 shirts with a Bible verse. Seemed like a legitimate request at first until I quoted the job and they responded with questionable payment details and offered an additional $2,000 to combine...
But as Colorado said, Primer 94 tends to eat through Oracal vinyl.... I missed that the OP mentioned it was Oracal when I mentioned primer94 on the entire plastic surface.
Personally, I've never had a problem with Primer 94 and Oracal... but have heard of some issues - I wouldn't risk it on...
I wouldn't do it.... in my estimation, the install will fail. Not sure if Primer 94 would be helpful or not as you would probably have to cover the entire surface of the plastic.
Interesting video from 3M on this very topic... watch at the 2:00 mark and see the adhesion of the film on plastic...
I came across a Gerber Maxx 2 for sale for what seems to be a great price and I'm considering buying, but before I do, is it worth the money? What is the long term costs? Are the foils readily available? Do the prints REALLY not need laminating? (I find this claim a bit overstated)
Thanks
A mechanic posts a sign shaming a non-payer? That sounds absurd to me. Mechanics around here just hold the vehicle and charge storage fees until such time the customer pays the bill plus the outrageous storage fees or until they can claim the vehicle as abandoned and sell it to recoup the...
The location is just outside of Winston-Salem NC with a heavy commercial customer base. I don't know the owner, but he specializes in channel letter and fabrication type stuff, with a some highway billboard work, which I don't touch, so it might be mutually beneficial.
I suppose a meet and...
As I research locations to open my first store front location I found one interesting property for low rent, perfect location, perfect for my needs.... except for the other sign shop nearly right next door.
The question is this: Do I take advantage of the low overhead and open my shop near...
Goofy customers... we all get them but what is the most off the wall thing they have said to you or requested of you?
Here is a snippet from a customer communication received today regarding a branding project:
"The logo/identity should communicate to the consumer that we are a Belgian...
There are three things I learned in my life which are exponentially true in sign making:
1. You get what you pay for - Cheap is exactly that.... cheap. Low quality & low price.
2. There is a HUGE difference between price and value.
3. You cannot outproduce quality -...
I agree, but because the client wants to keep relatively the same look as the logo used for the last 4 years, my first instinct was to do exactly that. This is why I am here - I'm turd polishing at the moment and need a new direction. By the way, was your camouflage pun intentional or...
