  1. Need printed window perf for interior of window

Hmm, I'll watch the tape - I've always used the Pano branded tape and no problem but things/suppliers change. Yes, you have to be careful with aerosal clearstar. But I've been using for years now, even going so far as mounting a test (exterior perf) panel in my south facing window and the...
  2. Need printed window perf for interior of window

You are doing this on inside of non-tinted windows, correct? We have a storefront Panofilm project that looks good as new 6 years later. Doing a 106 ft X10ft project right now. Print latex, light coat of aerosal (doesn't fill holes) Clearstar UV for additional UV protection. Double side tape...
  3. Question HP 365 Users. What the deal with the number of passes?

That's some awesome work there 2CT. 6 pass is also our goto for just about everything on our 560. For Canvas and other material with rough surface requiring more detail we use 12 pass and higher sometimes with translucents. Sometimes we'll see some horizontal banding in solids as printheads...
  4. B Board cutting.

Occasionally we will contour cut a scrap end of removable material (we use a lot of wall paper and transit material here and always seem to have 3-5 ft scraps at end of roll), mount on the panel and use that that as a cutting template. Strip it off and apply graphic per eqquipaint's suggestion.
  5. Properly Clean Walls

For flat/eggshell we moisten towels w/ app fluid and wipe down to get loose stuff/dust. On the more difficult paints with additives for scrubbing, dirt resistance or slightly chalky paint we use 25%-50% mix of alcohol - again not spraying directly on wall but moistening the cloth to avoid...
  6. HP L26500 service manual

    Here's a 26500 manual - I'll leave up tonight http://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ahjt8o92am0e/25500_manual
  7. Slowdown????

And in that alternate universe, the professional politicians would universally agree that all of us professional sign guys are full of *@#% lowlifes that can only be in it for our own selfish interests.
  8. Masking full-coverage frosted vinyl....

Seems like a disaster in the making. I would ship it back. We also use a ton of app fluid on glass and just peel the unmasked sheets off liner and float into place. Where their are letters or cutouts, we mask with paper tape just around those areas, lay panel down, wet the paper and let sit...
  9. Slowdown????

    Same here!
  10. Slowdown????

We all have different motivations; I don't judge your reasons and I admire anyone like you who takes the risk and don't begrudge your success. A lot of jealousy out there.
  11. response to customer for not printing trademarked property

I like that or simply, 'it's illegal for us to reproduce or modify copyrighted property without written permission.'
  12. Slowdown????

No problem hearing different sides speculate on the health of the economy, but hearing some of the comments, I sometimes wonder if the commentator actually does own a business. They are entitled to their opinion even if polar opposite of mine. But for me it's a whole lot more credible coming...
  13. Need Help URGENT help needed!

Another thought - we too use Flexi for production and some simple design, but mostly import PDF's created in AI. If we only used Flexi, I would be tempted to save a copy of every file as a PDF which is a more universal file format.
  14. Need Help URGENT help needed!

I second CamTX; any backup plan should include a local backup (such as CamTX s mirrored drive) and an off-site solution (such as Google Drive or Stacey K's OneDrive) I also use a Synology with mirrored drives but also use both OneDrive AND Backblaze which also backs up my other three computers...
  15. Need Help Looking for outdoor banner display hardware

Not what was pictured, but these are good options for changeable banners: https://www.rgsignsupply.com/Stretch-Flex-p/strf.htm http://www.lindsignspring.com/signspring-on-premise
  16. Help! Window perf tunneling

After much trial/error, we've been using Fellers house brand for latex (paper back) at 6pass/100% saturation at 210F on our 560. Always a good idea to run enough out to clear the heater before print. Lays nice and flat.
  17. What to charge for installing perforated graphics?

Good feedback unclebun; very close to what we would charge which is understandable since we are in a similar cost market. I suspect local factors such as labor cost, insurance, local regulation/permitting, travel costs etc. can be significant. Also agree that you need to consider prep/travel...
  18. Perforated laminated on glass

We install a lot of perf and about 90% is not film laminated, exceptions usually being vehicle windows due to temporary visibility issues because of rain or dirt. Usually we use spray photo fixative for additional UV protection way beyond reasonable life of perf vinyl. No-film laminate gives...
  19. Hello from Wisconsin

Welcome. From someone who started part-time with similar products, I suspect you will soon find a need to focus on a core area of your business. For me it was signage, primarily display and indoor where average order is higher and customers value creativity. I dumped the shirt business (too...
