Why not have the artist draw the artwork on a template of the window, then scan it in, print, lam, install? I doubt the sharpies would last even if laminated. But if they insist just warn them that it will fade fast and take the $$. I would have them draw on it first, then lam, then install...

I would give them my professional opinion that mags are not a good option most of the time, but if they continue to insist....take the money and do it. Just be sure to give them a care sheet so after a year they can't come back saying "I didn't know I had to clean behind them".
