I've been running a CE5000 for about 4.5 years and have not done anything to it except blow out the paper shavings in the blade track with a can or air. The FC Series is a lot better than what I have so I'd say run it till it dies.
Have you tried covering the top black square on the all the ink cartriges with a chrome type vinyl?
This will send the machine into wash mode.
Let it start pumping the ink into the waste bottle.
Shut the printer off and remove the chrome vinyl over the black squares.
Turn the machine back on...
What are you using for Head Soaking and Cleaning the print heads?
I want to use an ultrasonic cleaner and don't really want to tear apart a cleaning cartridge for doing that. At around $40 each that is kind of pricey.
Is there something available in bulk? Pint or Quart size?
I have been...
This may be a dumb one but....
Is it possible to clean only the black print head on a Falcon Outdoor 62 with the cleaning cartridge installed?

Thanks

I also leave at least 5"- 6" on the back side of the print to...
Just wondering if anyone here has tried printing on Oracal 751, namely the metallics, with Eco-Solvent inks?
I do a lot of printing on the 651 but need a silver metallic to print on. I want to keep this job as a single layer if possible.
I've been using EnduraTEX from SW for the last 4 years (specifically their Hotmark 70 and Metallics) with great results and zero complaints.
It is a lot cheaper in price than the Thermoflex and Siser materials and I get the same results.
The motor on my Falcon Outdoor 62 just started clicking last night when I was running the media through it.
It does it in both directions and sounds kind of like a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel. Tic-Tic-Tic.....
I took the end off and the belt is good everything is solid...
I've been using 4057 for the past 5 years and was just informed on Monday that the tubes that are marked RLA are wrong, and the only app tape that has the RLA ( that SW sells anyway) is Clear. I have never used or ordered clear tape.
I tried arguing the point of what I wanted and my rep...
