can anyone recommend a video capture programme so i can record video from youtube. i couple of times now i have saved some really good photoshop tutorials or great printer/lam tech tips only to go back again and they are gone!..... i did google this question and i saw afew that were free...

yep...as above, get this all the time. you can tell the same people over and over again but garenteed the next time they email you "art"..if you can call it that, it will be the same low res pic, or that same pic saved as an eps file!!!!!..............

not with our stuff. we can tell the difference. its not a huge, huge difference, but we can tell.....we always print on standard.

on matte adhesive yeah, agreed...but not on banners! you can tell the difference between high speed and standard for sure.

i know we did a few test prints when we got our roland and on the high speed mode, especially on banners you can see its not as bright/clear and visable on the standard setting for example.

there ara a number of facters to understand.... profile for the madia you are using. temps and heat settings/head speed/bi and uni etc etc etc if its a new machine then calibration should be good enviromental temp/humiditiy will also play a part. on ink jets like you have, printing on...

there are cpmpanies that will do it as said above, however setup costs are extremly expensive.......thats the downside. if your client wanted tens of thousands etc, fair enough. it maybe worth the option to go down the domed resin route, cheaper, and you will get a very simular effect.

when we had to reformat our hd last we we had to reinstal vw. we loaded the latest and it seems to be fine.

to be honest pat, it depends on what type of resins you use. there are many different resins out there, some will take to color ok, others not so much.

could be just colored resin. we've done stuff simular to this before where we colored the resin to a clients spefic color. maybe find a vendor who does doming and ask them if they can do that for you.
