if your going to try it with a band saw, make sure you get a real fine tooth blade or i would imagine the edges would be frayed and may cause your media holder(the flat metal piece) to move up and down on the egde and may cause a head strike.
got my dan antonelli books delivered ashort time ago(an early christmas present from my wife)....great, great read so far and am so happy with them! well worth getting and dan is an amazing guy who contributes alot on this forum.
depending on quality................. we just got our 20 month old a cheap truck from the dollar store(he spied it and wanted it)....its plastic etc and as cheap as they come but for a buck a piece......

pat, don't go putting ideas in my head about modifing the buggy! when my wife bought it back yesterday and i read "2mph" i was like....what! it only goes 2 mile an hour! my wife then kindly pointed out it was for our 20 month old and that's plenty...
we just got our 20 month old one of those electric ride along buggy things.....it only does 2mph so will have to put a v8 in it, an air intake system and some open exhausts so it'll go faster!...lol.........
to me thats an inside roller issue. we have a 54" roland and never use the inside rollers on anything.
we did when we first got the machine as i was worried about movement whilst printing heavy banner and noticed that we would get slight lines as you are getting so stopped using them.

don't own a latex, but i know that temp and humidity in the printer enviroment will and can cause this.
you need to keep the printer enviroment stable in order to acheive consistant color and quality etc
