  2. OMG - I forgot to move the head back to capping station!!!

    we clean the heads whilst the machine is on....it beeps at you and you get i think 30 mins. was taught this way, its all just pressing the buttons and reading the screen as it tells you what you need to do, would never ever do it with the power turned off! to much risk for things like you have...

    the flushing pads rest in the capping stations...... the pads can get worn and clogged and will sometimes swell up. also you may have some dried or thick ink in one of your lines, i would recommend disconnecting them(the lines from the capping stations to your pump that leads to the ink waste...

    you need to do a test print to see if all your nozzles are firing correctly for starters. if its not been used for a month or two then you may have some issues.

    we did something simular in may...flat alucore, and we added a thick frame around it which then stood off the wall with brackets about an inch or so.. nice job colorado...very nice.

    were running anywhere between 38c - 42c depending on what were putting through(print) and approx 42c dryer.

    with each different brand of material/manufacturer, you should print off a color chart. that way you will be able to see the differences in color etc for each material you will use.

    remember though....glossy material will always be more or less griany to a degree. sometimes you can find a profile and set the settings up and heat etc so its less grainy, others times you gotta try and try with test prints to see what works and what doesn't........its all a learning curve...
