For running 4 colors the cartridge ink lines are "spliced" in the ink lines behind the cartridge.
When running 6 color you have to use plastic stoppers so that each cartridge has a dedicated ink line...
yea that's what I'd do with a JV3...push some solution through with one of those syringes that you can fit an ink tube over...you would either not be able to squirt any through, or you would notice a crappy pattern of spray (as compared to the other colors on the single JV33/cjv printhead which...
Spoke to a rep at my dealer who had a demo unit for sale on a L26500 for around 15000. Is this a good deal? I am not really in the market for a new machine but this sounded good.
A good idea. It's a consumable, and will have to be replaced eventually....might as well have some on hand as to not put oneself in a bind when it goes out or if it's a faulty one.
So if it follows the damper, ink train issue?
If the problem stays in the same position; head issue or cable issue? How would one determine this?

Usually full outages and uniform losses is more indicative of a ribbon cable or electrical issue.
Before the outage, did you do any sort of change with the head cover off? Unfortunately, the ribbon cables from slider > printhead seem to be fragile as all hell
Cap is where I would of guessed too, right after a nozzle wash...
Can you take a pic of the nozzle test draw?
if it looks uniform, could be electrical...if it's kind of random, its an ink train issue
Depends on what you need them cut down to. sometimes if it's one or two simple cuts, they have a saw at their warehouses they cut stuff down to custom sizes
