ok the first machine the color camm 60 it is an older machine that was not known to be reliable to begin with. They are known for needing new heads and all sorts of problems..
the second one is a good machine.. but if you notice the auction is not over and it...
oo Lady.. if you have dyesub you can do this.. altho they will not be UV protected if your planing on using outside..
You can get a type of vinyl that you use dyesub with.. then you can cut them out on you plotter.. ..
isigns.. I always cut right away.. and have never had one bit of trouble with any marks at all.. been doing it a year..
yesterday.. i printed and cut 1000 stickers for the auto auction..
zm.. we have print cut on high speed and regular and its never left marks..
zm.. we always use as many pinch rollers as there are places for on the size of media we are printing..
I have never ever gotten any skid marks on any print
We got the versacamm 540 and really glad we went with the larger size.. I also love the ability to print and cut..and have no problems with that funtion on the machine..
I found the versaworks very easy to use and didnt see much of a learning curve at all..
We got ours from ordway and I...
Trusted.. its not like the other heat applied vinyl where you cut in reverse and use the backing on top.. You need a way to transfer the printed vinyl to the shirt..
IM not sure what transfer tape to use.. but to answer Trusted Images question.. Its a papermask..
and teflon sheet will not work for this application it has to be a transfer tape of some sort..
Chopper..
I think i read on here somewhere what others use..
so mabe a search for color print...
Its been about 8 or 9 months ago.. Bry threw a guy out of the shop.. And it was a big order too..lol.. There was this really strange guy.. who aid he belonged to the what he called the kiss army (kiss as in the band) and wanted stickers for some kiss museum When he first called and talked to...
I think your best bet for finding that info.. If you dont have the manual is to go to the roland forums.. I know i saw some tips there on how to do alot of the maintance routines..
I dont believe it is a serger that you want.. for example.. look at the seam inside your t-shirt.. where its a zigzag seam with it cut off right by the seam.. that is what sergers do.. You just need a heavy duty machine..
Quik.. I always use all of the pinch rollers.. if you dont.. the vinyl can bunch up and case you to have a head strike..
Also it could be why you are getting misallignment issues to some extent.
Ive had my 540 for almost a year.. I normally use oracal vinyl and have used the roland poster paper and gmi banner material.. Our colors are great matches using the color profiles from roland and versaworks.. so much so we have some people who we wholesale prints to that will only use us...
a head strike is when the print head strikes the media it is printing on.. Say your printing a banner and the banner material buckles up a bit.. when the print head goes past the bottom of it. hits the fabric.. It will leave marks on what your printing.. and many times.. hurt the print head..
a wide roll of white oracal.. .. is what ya need..
Sounds like ya got a pretty good deal..
The guy that trained us was super dupper.. I can still call him and find out anything i need to know.. And He has stopped by before to see how things are going.. ..
Enjoy your machine.. i love mine
