  1. Looking for real world feedback on the Epson 50670 and Roland XF-640

If all goes as planned (keeping my fingers crossed), I should be purchasing a XF-640 in about a month! So I don't currently have experience with that particular machine, but I hope to very shortly!
  2. My new Logo/Company name

I was thinking the exact same thing myself...
  3. Cut Studio and X7 please help!!

And by the way... I had a look this morning, and for anyone else that might view this thread and have the same setup (X7/Cut Studio)... you can copy the previous versions .gms file into X7, and change the very first line of the macro from "If (CorelScript.GetObjectCount() = 0) Then" to "If...
  4. Cut Studio and X7 please help!!

They don't... if you have a subscription, as long as it's paid... you can continue to use X6. As a matter of fact, I have a subscription, and I chose... not forced, to install X7. Actually, I still have both X6 and X7 running on the same machine, and X6 still works fine (although I am not using...
  5. black translucent vinyl

How about in the Oracal 8300 series... transparent colors?
  6. Evolution of a sign

That's interesting to see the signs change over time!
  7. Self Cleaning Paint

Saw this interesting article on consumerist today about Nissan testing a "self cleaning paint" that repels water and some oils. http://www.consumerist.com/2014/04/25/nissan-touts-first-self-cleaning-car-after-testing-water-mud-resistant-paint/ I wonder how this would affect the adhesion of...
  8. Roland GX-24 Cuts

I used to have that problem with Stahls premium plus. I found if I didn't put in a fresh, sharp blade and slow down the machine, my GX-300 would make horrible cuts... almost as though it was perforated like you said, or it was "skipping" across the material. So I've kept a blade on hand for...
  9. Real Sign making

Incredible! It amazing to watch... I wish I had just the slightest bit of talent to be able to letter by hand.
  10. Oh the tangled web (of lines) we weave!!

We used to get those all the time, and sometimes I'd call the designer directly and just to ask if they had a better/cleaner file that we could use for output. It was often a rhetorical question of course, but sometimes they actually did have better versions and sales simply hadn't gotten their...
  11. USB to Ethernet Adapter

I bought a USB to ethernet for my Roland cutter, it was about 12 feet from the PC, and I didn't want to try and find a USB cable to work. I think I got it from newegg or amazon... one or the other. Anyway, at the time, the only thing I had around was a 50ft. Cat5 cable... so I plugged it in. I...
  12. VersaWorks .eps file Scaling??

Just out of curiosity, is the actual output incorrect, or just the "dimension" it's telling you in Versaworks? If you draw a 1"x1" square in Corel, export the EPS, and print it... is it 1"x1"... or a different size?
  13. VersaWorks .eps file Scaling??

It's most likely the "EPS Margin" setting. If you go to your queue settings, and the File Format tab on the left, there will be a number in your "EPS Margin" setting. Whatever is in here, it will add to the dimensions when imported... but the actual size of the imported file is correct. Have a...
  14. Small Time QNAP Fanless Backup System For Me

In my neck of the woods in Canada, I've got 30Mbit upload... far from Pathetic!
  15. pc 600 vinyl printing

It has been eons ago that I owned/used one of the PC 600's... but that sure looks like a print head issue to me. I might be mistaken, but when I look at the image, I immediately though it was the print head.
  16. cut lines turning from magenta to black when exporting to eps???

I don't remember if it was in X5 or X6 they added the setting in EPS export called "Convert Spot Colors to CMYK"... is that checked if it's there? That would cause your problem if it's checked.
  17. Tshirt Heat-Transfers ----> need a wholesale supplier

I second this... F&M has been great, also Dowling Graphics in FL has been good for me as well!
  18. Corel Vector Art

Me too me too! I always take a vector and look at it in wireframe, not just when I need to, but because I love to see how others construct their files!
