Hi all,
I'm making a magnetic board which will have a matte laminated print mounted to it and wondering what substrate would work best. The magnets are only 60x15mm on .6mm magnetic rubber. The board will be glued to an internal brick wall so it doesn't need to be rigid. Any advice greatly...
My apologies, I'm using a Roland SP540V printer/cutter. Yes I've been printing on vinyl then applying it to the rubber but they were for straight cut magnets, just wondering whether to try it this way to do more interesting shapes.
Hi all, Does anyone have advice on printing to and contour cutting magnetic rubber? I've heard of people printing directly to it and have also heard of people contour cutting it with just enough force to score it and be able to break them apart by hand. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks RJ, yes I forgot to mention it only seems to be after laminating and when doing larger stuff. Frustrating because it means extra time and material wasted.
Hi everyone, I'm having contour cut issues, it had been dead accurate after being calibrated by a Roland technician and is mostly still accurate except when going back to start a new shape like the centre of a letter and cutting it way off target. Any suggestions much appreciated.
Hi All,
I mount most of my prints onto aluminium composite panel with a manual laminator, obviously the first part has to be mounted by hand. I'm having trouble mounting them straight, mainly with long narrow prints. Just wondering what causes this? Is it because the panel might be going...
Hi all, Have been printing onto Spartan oriental cotton canvas and having trouble with prints looking dull. Have played around with all of the printer settings and now wondering if it's the canvas? It's not overly white so could this be the problem? Suggestions of other products would be...
Hi all, I'm having trouble with colours when printing photos (on my Roland SP540V), mainly skintones etc. I had been printing everything in Max Impact
as I always do with my signs but am now printing canvases and the colours are nowhere near right. I was told to Use the Pre Press US setting...
I've been using the Pre Press US setting and the skin tones etc have improved but now everything seems too light, like an economy ink setting. I usually use Max Impact so I'm used to the brighter colours, does anybody have any other suggestions to brighten the prints up? Thanks.
Thanks, I'll have to get out of that habit then. I'm used to mainly doing vector artwork for signs and know the CMYK values of a lot of colours off by heart, but these values change when pasting into a RGB file so I've preferred to convert it.
Hi all, I'm wondering the best way to go about printing photos on a Roland (SP540V) printer, seeing photos are usually RGB. I've been opening them in Illustrator and changing it to CMYK before doing anything else. Does this sound right or should I be leaving them as RGB? Any help appreciated...
Thanks a lot or your answers, I've never had too much trouble with vinyl, mainly just on this canvas but I''ll have to try the pre press US setting and see how that goes.
Hi All,
I'm currently printing a lot of photos on canvas and photo paper and wondering what setting is best for photos. I've experimented with everything but the colour could still improve a lot. I've gone with Max Impact as I do with all of my vinyl prints, and although it's the best the...
