i know next to nothing about latex, but, there is another variable
is this machine heavily used?
does latex have solids to come out of suspension in your ink?
would shaking inks periodically be an idea worth consideration?
yes, just fill out this simple 20,000 page initial application & then we can assign an EPA caseworker to your product and we can get down to the nitty gritty.
that has been the issue for me, as well. time i should spend on marketing gets spent on the next engineering project.
but I ENJOY my stupid re-engineering projects, damn it! about 45 years ago, a friend who was an electronics wholesaler always told me that the best techs were THE WORST salesmen...
Adam, you are too caught up in this (it was your money after all)
the other's input is proactive and useful. we wish you hadn't gotten taken, but you did...
most important lesson to learn: THINGS COST WHAT THEY COST
a good friend is a fairly big player in the banner business.
he has started using AI instead of paying residuals to the artists.
quite a savings. some of the images look "cartoony" until you apply the proper photoshop filters.
then they are practically identical
The machines have a purpose but a very limited one.
and, you don’t truly understand the limits until you own one & have destroyed a couple marginal print heads

i can't help on this one

they have the best support for what chemicals you use in the unit.
it's worth a call to canada to talk to val if you run into trouble.
i find AS A RULE this whole thing is very effective if you use the unit before it is apparent you have a bad head and need to flush.
a gentle flush...
it would certainly be advisable to usb a different port
windows recognizes devices by a combination of port & whatever sort of device id
am i confused? the edge's have serial & parallel port
parallel is MUCH faster. i imagine you have the usb to serial adapter because it was used with your...
does jetbest claim that the chemistry is completely compatable?
i have seen people do this with roland inks, but, not with mimaki (we have very limited mimaki experience)
francis from premier colour can answer that for you i imagine.
ask whoever you bought the inks from
TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
(it often works)
consider using a cleaning cartridge with about 5% acetone in the cartridge
pull enough through the tube to get the acetone reaching the printhead
let that soak for a couple hours. do several cleanings
now print a large rectangle to get the acetone...
