I have a customer wanting to do up some coupons for his pizza shop. The sample he gave me was a Canadian $5 and $2 actual currency with his info over top to use as a coupon. I told him in Canada we can't use our currency in a Design.
First, is this true for us Canadians?
I thought in the USA...
Most likely the filters in the captops have raised up or swollen up so that the head touches the filter and thus creates a syphon. If you replaced the head it may not be sitting the same as the old one or the captops need to be adjusted. This is a capping adjustment (flushing adjustment) in...
Thanks for that reply.
So that means I still have a chance....
My computer guy is going to try to come out and see why the drivers are not seeming to be seen on my windows 7 laptop and see if he can get it to work. However, I'm trying to run it on Flexi production manager, however I have...
I know a lot of you golf but do any of you have a Golf Simulators?
I started many years back with a P3pro and since gotten a GC2 and now run "The Golf Club" (TGC) on it. A great way to make the winters go by quicker in the Great White North.
Just wondering if anyone plays on line and has...
Not sure if this will help or be the same on windows 2000.
I have XP running and had issues with the battery backup not working and when we had a power failure the computer was not shut down and when I went to restart it give that window with improper shut down etc. but would not get past the...
Can't seem to get it to see the printer when a file is sent. Get a can't open port and did a search about that but other than others having the same issue I could not find a fix.
So just a bump on the thread to see again if anyone ever ran a CJ or SC500 on windows 7 or newer and are still...
I have still been running my converted CJ 500 on XP but that computer is feeling tired and I wanted to know if anyone has run one on windows 7 or newer. I have Flexi 8 running on my laptop with windows 7 but it seems like it needs a new driver.
So has anyone had luck running a CJ 500 or SC500...
There was a clear perf media, in fact I still have part of the sample roll. You need to be able to print white though.
For that option you would reverse print then flood with white for the second pass and then black for the third pass. When done you would have a perf to mount on the inside of...
I 2nd the above point. Dibond will bend a few times and not break where as the cheaper brands will snap when you try to bend.
When just used as a flat surface the cheaper brands are fine.
I still use this same one today. Only change is I use 15 lbs for the weight. Once and a while I swap it over to my water based printer for longer runs but mainly stays put. Not sure you can get much cheaper...
Thanks for the quick reply.
Last question.
Would you have noticed any deterioration to the perf print itself where it touches the window?
In other words, we know there can be some ink film left behind that is easily removed but will removing the perf and trying to replace it some where else...
I have noticed with clear cling media that if you print normal and stick the printed side to the inside of a glass window, in time the heat from the sun on the window would bake the ink to the window so when removed, you could have a residue from the ink stuck to the window and thus be removing...
How about this one....
I had a customer a couple years back need a poly metal sign about 8' x 3' mounted onto the side of a building. She delayed in getting me her logo for over a month and when I finally got it she wanted the sign done right away. She was moving in within a week or so of...
It sounds like you are able to draw ink into the heads in order to see that the test print is not missing anything.
So I assume that is after a cleaning cycle that the heads will re charge with ink and will print for a short bit.
If you go into the service menu and do a test print with fill...
I would think that that area where there is no white paint would show as a hot spot when covered with translucent white on the front. Can you find similar white paint to cover the area where the red was? Then with the added translucent on the front it may hide that area more but the added...
On the old Rolands you could just remove the pump line from the capping station and let the printer think it was pumping out ink. Same on the fill up. Once the time passed that the pump needed to run you would then just attach the lines back up to the captops.
A clothing steamer bought for about $50 - $80 will do a great job removing the vinyl and the adhesive with it. A few seconds of the steam and the vinyl pulls off easily and does not leave the adhesive behind. A sign that size can be done in 5 min. It will take longer for the steamer to heat...
Our rink boards are covered with a sheet of lexan so we mount the prints on a thin sheet of styrene. Lots will mount direct to the boards.
As for the ice, I think they use mesh banner material which allows the air and water to release and makes for easier application. This would be put down...
The clear lines that go under the captops to the small rec. box on the right are there for air flow when the printer is cleaning the heads. As long as the lines are not plugged they are fine. They will get some ink into them and may need to be cleared once and a while. If plugged you will...
