lol thats the problem... 50+ banners in an order and you can only put a damn 50 yard roll on before you gotta change it...and change it....and change it -- hate babysitting machines

If you are this familiar with Illustrator you have a great advantage. There are several cutting plug-ins available for it (provided by the cutting manufacturer normally) I use FineCut from Mimaki and I must say, i rarely use Flexi at all anymore.

if i may make a suggestion to you Kevin, make a selection of the circle only (the first one) and touch it up with the "Color Dodge" tool on the upper right and lower left. This will make it look like light is hitting it and make it look like a metal because of the shine =)

it sounds like a build up of ink/dirt under the print head. Sometimes this happens after printing banner. The scrim fibers tend to stick if they are loose and the print heads were set to low. Take a peek underneath, make sure you don't see anything on the heads.

SEAL Image 600md & SEAL 80 Pro for hard laminates AccuCoat 1600 & just recently added the AccuCoat 3300 for the liquid laminating. They are great but require meticulous cleaning after each use or you end up with a real mess.

is it a vector file you are trying to print? i have had a problem with some vector files on out HP10000 but as soon as i rasterize it...its fine.

i have a couple of premade styles i have saved in photoshop over the years if you would like me to send you a few. Depending on what font you use, the effect will vary so you might need to tweak it.

Sure, there are fixes for it like unrolling the media before it is ready to go through... then you have to worry about media contamination, media skewing etc. It really doesn't permit unattended printing if you are doing 50 banners per order.

Yeah it sucks, i was hoping a 3rd party would start making an aftermarket set of rollers for the smaller machines so you could load a bigger roll on it without this error. Having to swap out 50yd rolls when you have a short production run of banners sucks and it is never really feasible to use...

how heavy is the roll you are using? i know with our smaller machines the biggest rolls of material we can use are the 50yd rolls.

The magnetic lasso has its moments but if you are looking for a clean cut....thats not the way to go. Depending on what you are trying to cut out the Magic Wand tool might work for you depending on how you set the threshhold at the top. The pen tool is absolutely the best overall for making...
