  1. versaworks

I think you might be turning on "scale to fit media" checkmark. So your'e scaling the 69" to 52" which will scale the 239" to 200". or you have it set to use a custom size media, instead of a custom size roll.
  2. Where is the "divide" function in corel x3?

Flexi can do this as well, it's called seperate overlap, but I want to know if it can be done in corel. I'm giving corel a shot.
  3. Project Managing Software?

    I certainly would. ;)
  4. Where is the "divide" function in corel x3?

Trim isn't what I need. I want all the objects to cut each other, and leave the rest of the objects. Trim takes five objects and leaves you five objects. Divide will take five objects and leave you with 9 if you have four overlaps. This is what trim does for me in corel. (and illustrator)
  5. Where is the "divide" function in corel x3?

Combine makes them into one single object, that would be the same as compound in Illy. Trim is...the same as trim in illy as well. edit: picture for reference: up top is four objects. Select all > Divide gives you all the objects underneath. (I "exploded" them so you can see all the objects)
  6. Project Managing Software?

I'm very interested in this is as well. (I do have access btw).
  7. Where is the "divide" function in corel x3?

In illustrator you have "divide" under path finder. Bascically ou grab eighty million objects that overlap, hit divide, and they will all cut each other so them you have like 20 million objects with non overlapping. I can't for the life of me find this in corel.
  8. Putting on an outline in illustrator

I make a duplicate copy of everything. hide the original and paste the copy. Select all CTRL + C Hide all (Ctrl+3) Paste in front (Ctrl+F) Then I ungroup and uncompound everything. (Ctrl+Shift+G, Alt+Ctrl+8) a couple of times to make sure everything is ungrouped, uncompounded. A quick...
  9. Quality and reds?

The best way to get reds, if to make your files correct. If you're working in photosop and inside of RGB color mode: when you pick a red use the cmyk inputs and choose 100 m 100 y. This'll be based from SWOP 2, but it's a good start. Likewise if you're working in Illy, or Corel, stick to M...
  10. need to wait between printing and laminating?

I'll believe it's true for full solvent printers, but with eco printers that have a hard time adhering to vinyl as it is? Eco inks aren't going to eat through a layer of vinyl and adhesive, and sink their teeth into automotive clear coats.
  11. need to wait between printing and laminating?

Have you experienced this first hand? That doesn't sound one bit possible.
  12. Dry install

Clean the window with a scraper. Some stuff doesn't wipe off easily.
  13. Need LG 823AG for VJ-1204

Yeah 823ag is cast media, with very very poor "air release" qualities to it. A 3651 or 3551 profiles worked prett good on it, just had to move the feed down a little.
  14. Router...hub...or switch??

If you're running three or four printers around the clock, sure go balls out with your network. This is the guy's first printer running at 100 mbps, on what I presume to be a pretty small and traffic-free network. As for random cross traffic killing other traffic......I've never heard...
  15. Router...hub...or switch??

Considering the 540 doesn't use gigabit, that switch is overkill. Bit torrents push more bandwidth that rolands.
  16. Router...hub...or switch??

Router or a swtich, you'll get collisions on a hub and your printhead will stop after every couple of passes to wait for the info. (ask me how I know this) In order of "usefulness". Router > Switch > Hub All routers as switches. Not all switches are router. Hub's are not switches.
  17. In need of an explanantion about Print Quality!

Print resolution : 720 x 720 8 pass bi directional File resolution: 100 ppi @ final size You should get more than sufficient "quality" out of that considering it's going on a banner.
  18. LHF - The $1000 font (Take a look, good read)

That's a comparion of tangbile with intangible theft. Yes, they're both theft, but you can count it the same way. Piracy is rampant, because it's too easy. In my teenage years I filled up with music I would never have listened to, some I never got around to listening to it. I just grabbed...
  19. LHF - The $1000 font (Take a look, good read)

I'm not saying you're not losing out on sales. I'm saying that that RIAA and MPAA use downloaded figures and translate them to lost sales. A large portion of people who pirate things, truly never intended to actually buy them, and so that wasn't a lost sale. There is of course another...
  20. LHF - The $1000 font (Take a look, good read)

That's the biggest lie ever told about piracy. It is a great way for companies to add "losses" to their bottom line though.
