    Illustrator CS2 has the envelope tool. Now to reduce anchor points you simply go to Object, Path, Simplify Path. Start out with a setting of 93, click the preview button and adjust from there. Generally I leave it at 93.

    Ok so let me see if I understand this correctly.. You have lettering (text) that has been converted to outlines? You want to arch these outlined text? You can do this with the envelope tool from within Illustrator.

    A lot of times I will tweak the image from within Photoshop. I will use Flexi to autotrace/bezier trace the image, export as ai and then finialize the image within Illustrator.     I would love to switch back to mac however, the cost of software etc. is just way too much right now. Kinda defeats running a mac when you have to run windows on it. I would call CoCut and just ask them about your concerns..

    There are some pretty fast memory sticks now. SanDisk keeps making them better. For instance you can get a 4gb memory stick duo pro now...... I remember when IBM had the microdisk 4gb in compact flash form. There is a 8gb memory stick duo pro on its way - Price? The 4gb can be had for around $125.
