Who did you purchase them from? What RIP do you use? Have you had issues with the take up system feeding a whole roll of 150' material? What about color? Have you noticed a big difference with the 4 extra colors?

I'd look at the Mutoh 1618A (dual head printer) it has an auto align take up system, 1 liter ink cartridges (2) sets of CMYK so you're looking at 2 liters of ink per color and the print speeds seem amazing. I'm going to try and demo one here shortly. Does anyone know where I could demo one?

We run the hell out of our printers. When we are printing we send enough jobs to finish a roll. We also laminate everything. It's more productive to print roll to roll as well as laminating roll to roll... less set up.. I don't see the point of running 20ft of material then cutting it off...

well I'm glad you've had good luck with them. But, good luck when it comes to a problem or servicing your printer. We're about to send out GS6000 back and get something worth while.. something that actually works. Advantage Sign will also be losing all of our business. Too bad.

What take up reel are you using instead? Does it have larger flanges ?

I can tell you that turning off the lights doesn't work. We've sanded and that is about the only thing that works. What about covering the censor with something like clear tape?

Don't use Advantage Sign. They actually screwed up the install and left us printer-less for 4 days. (Friday + the weekend) Which were all production days.. They just apologize and offered a free day of training... What about the $$$$$ lost for those 4 days of that printer sitting there...
