It seems like the only way I'll be able to solve this problem is to buff / sand the registration marks.. Which isn't going to happen. I'd rather have a machine that actually works then to babysit it all day... to me it doesn't seem very productive. Anyone want to buy my Graphtec FC-8000 130...

We just did a Firmware update yesterday along with adjusting the sensitivity levels. I'm going to try the "turning off the lights" trick. See if that works...

Use the CBU15 blades and the red tool for die cutting. You will also need to put the red tool in the position closest to you. You'll need to play around with the force, speed and cut length to get this right. Also, it depends on the type of material you are using as well. Are you laminating...

Seems way too time consuming... What about a steel rule die and a die cutter? Seems much more productive.

We've been in the works of looking at an Epson GS6000 my only concern is.. having a Mutoh and Epson.. How would that work? Some jobs printing on the Epson and some on the Mutoh? What about re-orders? I'm thinking about selling our Mutoh when we get the GS6000. Advice?

Does this material die cut well through the Graphtec Plotter? Or do the edges where the die cut is made fray?

I am a Mutoh owner as well. Just a tip.. Always make sure you have extra cartridges. We had a few bad cartridges. We just return them to our supplier for new ones. Also, if you remove low cartridges and replace them with new ones for night jobs they don't always work when you put them back...

It just makes more sense to have your printer run all night then paying someone to mount vinyl to magnet material then trim it... We never hand trim anything it's all done with our graphtec or die cutter.

(x) how many.. point proven. I think with the mentality of maximizing equipment usage. And there is also room for error... so, just think about it.

We've used a USI 24" laminator (hot) double sided for about 2 years and had good luck with it. We would use it 8 hours a day and only laminated paper. But, after the 2 years of constant abuse it is no longer.. It stopped working a while back. Now we have 2 automatic laminators.

Sounds risky.. with as much as our machine runs I think I'll play it safe and mount everything.

What about custom shaped magnets.. mount and cut into sheets then run on a clicker die cutter?

We're extremely busy. Our printer is running almost 24 hours a day. The less labor we have the higher our margins would be.

Has anyone ever had any luck with printing directly to the magnet? This would save so much time and leave room for large quantities and higher profit margins. (also quicker turnarounds).

I've seen that there is a magnet material that will run through your printer... how do you go about doing this. I'm running a Mutoh Valuejet 1304 and the material is obviously a magnet.. it wont feed through. What are some tips and tricks instead of printing on vinyl then mounting to the magnet?
