Ink starvation, didn't matter how much bright or dark the image was, machine never would keep up ink supply. Plus, the white channel was hit and miss. Sometimes it printed, most times 90% of nozzles were missing. I don't miss that machine.

This can happen at the start of a roll, or every foot. No consistency in where it's happening, happens on think vinyl and thicker banner stocks.

I never liked the rip that came with mine, we use ColorGate for our rip and the colours we get is insane even using cmyk. Plus I made my own profiles using i1 tool, that could also help. If you can replace the software and make custom profile.

Terrible rip. Invest in a better rip, it'll make hitting more colors a lot easier. I use colorgate, and it's so nice. I run 4 printers off of it.

What rip are you using for printing?

All the profiles I've made are for colorgate rip. Best print gammut I've seen, and if you have an i1, you can just scan your target colour and match it that way.

It asks for inside or outside during the material setup, after clamping and choosing media settings. Only seems to do it on inside print.

I made my own profile using my iOne profiling tool. It might cost 2000$, but it's worth it to have the best profiles possible. What rip are you using? I use ColorGate.

Got a S80600 running white ink, might have work for silver ink. Is the ink easy as take out white, prime with cleaning cart, then prime with silver cart? Hope someone else has done this and had it work.

No profile needed, just need to select the "white or metallic" for special ink set in print mode. Then if you are running white inline, choose any that says white, if you want a white over print or under print, choose white(2layer). If you are anywhere but NA, you can choose the 3 layer mode...

Looking at this machine, looks very nice and the color gamut is supposed to be the best. I wanted to know from people who won one, how much ink does it take for running banners or decal jobs? Full color banner at 4x8 would use how much ink(ml or $)? Wouldn't make sense for us if it sucks up...

I get mine right from Fuji and get it in 2-3 days if it's in stock(most are).

The LED 1600 is much much faster then the Roland. But, I have nothing but mechanical problems with my LED so right now a Roland would be faster then my paper weight.
