  1. First motorcycle wrap...in the bag!

Here it is, the headlight anyway!
  2. First motorcycle wrap...in the bag!

Great transformation! Bikes are crazy tough. I'm doing a few things on my cafe project and vowed to do it without seams... Attempt #1 on the tank needed up with a seam and after 4 attempts on the headlight housing...I have a small seam (that thing isn't quite like a basketball...more like the...
  3. square footage on this vehicle

It was the Cruze I was thinking of. Same design platform
  4. square footage on this vehicle

Just the electric version of the cobalt right???
  5. The heat!!!

Just saw you were from Franklin...I burned down a wheat field there when I was 4..back in 1979. Remember it like it was yesterday!
  6. The heat!!!

It was really bad when the alcohol wouldn't dry becaus of the humidity... Then the paper towel spontaneously combusted. Thankfully all the gas turned to fumes and escaped before the paper towel could ignite it ;)
  7. The heat!!!

Could have just left them at the shop (other than just showing them to the vinyl for intimidation)
  8. The heat!!!

We do fleet installs...lots of fleet installs on location. From decal kits to full color change wraps. This heat and humidity does some crazy things to the vinyl. I swear I heard a piece cut for the rear hatch simply tell me that it wanted a divorce from its adhesive... My coworkers said it...
  9. First wrap - Mercedes Sprinter van.

Slow on the cuts! I've seen many great installs ruined by bad cuts
  10. Anyone with a couple square feet of gold chrome?

The pricing is fair, as you can get 12"x12" samples for 6.99 which I like...the stupid part is the $12.99 shipping.
  11. Anyone with a couple square feet of gold chrome?

I thought I could get by with the vvivid stuff but it just isn't very good for what I'm doing. The adhesive is not agressive enough and the conformability is just slightly better than plywood ;)
  12. Anyone with a couple square feet of gold chrome?

Hey all y'all (that's deep southern for everybody for our northern friends), just wondering if anyone has a couple square feet of gold chrome I could buy for a reasonable amount. im never going to use more than this one project. Let me know. thanks, joel
  13. How to wrap a cat???

Here are some pics so far
  14. How to wrap a cat???

Ok, I'm giving my buddy a hard time on this. He found out I do wraps and sent me a message that I can't help but flog him for. He texted: "Joel, I just wanted to know what options I have when it comes to wrapping a midsize cat. Give me some ideas and prices and how long you think it would...
  15. Wrapped This Motorcycle

I'm pretty new to the wrap part of the business and have been doing a lot of fleet color change wraps. One of my passions is my motorcycle and I e been given permission to use what're we have extra at the shop to practice with. I tried the tank in one piece, and almost had it until a melting...
  16. Can you wrap blindfolded?

Some of the fleet install locations put me on par with being blindfolded!
  17. You can't wrap that challenge

    I went all patriotic ;)
  18. You can't wrap that challenge

Dual challenge given! Ok, I have gone back and forth and have decided on letting you choose what to wrap. The first (and kind of boring option), a plastic fork with 2 colors, no printed designs. Option 2, a co-worker. Yep, willing or unwilling. These can be solid color or printed. Videos...
  19. You can't wrap that challenge

Pictures, a write up, or even a video explains the process is worth useless bonus points in this challenge (but may get you votes)
  20. You can't wrap that challenge

Now don't discount the crazy factor of what I'm proposing. Skill is one part, creativity is the other. Even in choosing an object I want it to be readily available, inexpensive, and have an element of fun with some creativity. I was thinking hard on what to do for the first challenge. There...
