As for which way to panel its really a matter of what do you want to install or what does your customer prefer.
I have a large printer so I dont have to worry about that as much as you but if I was you I would look at the vehicle does it have a body line (like on a truck they almost always...
I just like photoshop and as I stated in my original post when I create each panel in photoshop each panel is a seperate image I then bring them into Flexi for rip and print. I will bring all the panels in and nest them for one large print. I have had things go wrong on installs and it may take...
The method I stated above will work for anyone using any rip as long as you use photoshop for design.
I have a Mimaki and use flexi so I have no idea about versaworks but like I said fallow my method above and versaworks only has to rip and print.
Another nice thing about doing it this way...
All you need to do is in photoshop slice up the image to the sizes you need (based on the panel direction and the size of your printer) dont forget when slicing up the image to add an overlap for install. You can use the slice tool in photoshop. What I do is use the slice tool in photoshop to...
Well I know nothing about the PC600 as I use a JV3 however if you give a little more info about your setup perhaps I or someone else can help for starters what rip are you using? I noticed in your profile it says flexi are you using flexi? Ok I dont know anything about thermal printers but I do...
Hello All,
Well I just bought a mimaki jv3 and the guy gave me flexi 8.1 with it and well I have read many posts and have adjusted the ink levels and what not and well anything I print that is vector and created in flexi it prints great I even created a bitmap in flexi just some color dots and...
Like Diesel said measure the panels and tile accordinglly.
Agreed CHARGE EXTRA for this. Dont give away anything that is a custom install that many dont do and requires more time and effort. Get your money you will have earned it with the extra time and labor.
Ok,
I just bought a used printer it is a JV3 160 S it has a triangle ink (JVS solvent ink) bulk ink system and the guy gave me flexi 8 with it and I know nothing about printing. I bought the printer because it was a great deal and I want to start printing myself and stop sending them out...
Thanks Fred I will have to research that I never payed attention when i go to those sites. Mainlly because I am focused on trying to find the font I need scrolling through pages and pages. I guess I need to read more so that I can work smarter not harder.
Thank You that is it. I don't know how you guys can remember all these fonts maybe one day I will be around long enough to remember what fonts are what.
Any pointers as to how to search for a font when you have no idea what it is?
All the 3M control tac suggestions are spot on just take your time and use lots of heat. Also do them in sections 2 or 3 seems to be the norm. I once viewed a few wrap guys from Fellers at a sign expo a few years ago do a brain bucket type helmet(you know the ones that the Harley guys wear). It...
Well,
I have spent more time trying to find this font than the job is worth good thing it was my off time and had nothing else to do. Can someone please tell me what font this is. I have found several that are similar but not exact. Please let me know what it is.
Thanks.
Mach 3 is great its not that diffucult to learn it just looks hard. You should checkout the forums at cnczone.com you will find lots of good info and the forum for Mach 3 on Mach 3 website is good also. There is a huge learning curve for this stuff but once you start to get it its addictive you...

Ok so if I could pick one of these up for under $10,000 I guess it would be a good deal. I am worried about used equipment and service the printer has been sitting for a few weeks. Who services these printers? So its a good quality printer not a chinese piece of junk? Also where do I get the oem...
Any body have anything to say about one of these printers. Just curiouse as I have never really heard much about them most people are Roland, Mutoh, Mamaki.
Red,
Thank you for your service from a former Marine.
