Gotta lot of views but no reply.
Does anyone have an idea I cant try it until Tuesday so I was hoping someone could give me some insight as to what I may expect when I try this.
I noticed when I go to Oracal and most of the others that when I search the profiles section to download a profile that they are all in 720. What happens if I print a graphic in 360X540 from Flexi but use the 720 profile from Oracal and just manually change the Resolution in the drop down box...
I do have a copy of rasterlink that came with the printer the design was made in photoshop and saved as a tiff then opened in flexi just to print.
The only problem is I dont think there are very many profiles for rasterlink compared to flexi.
I sure hope its not a flexi issue I dont think...
Mike,
You are correct that Lm is misaligned thats why I cut it off and showed the prints in CMYK as well as CMYKLcLm (how can you tell there is a mechanical misalignment from the check pattern print. It would be nice to know how to tell so that I can look at the test pattern that we print...
Ok I have a JV3 160S I know the Lc Lm head is bad Lc is missing lots of places in test print. I have attached a pic of the test print and it shows CMYK only. Also in the pic are several shots of a print these prints are in different pass settings EVERYTHING is in 720X720. Im trying to figure out...
I love Oracal's entire product line I use everything from 3628 (fathead material) to 3551 but I do have to say that Avery has really improved over the last few years. many will bash them but for full wraps on cars like HHR and bugs there MPI 1005 can conform better than most of the other wrap...
Ok I know this is in the open forum so please reply by PM to me to keep the info out of the hands of the PUBLIC.
Ok I am looking for info on how to get the pre made graphics for vehicles. I print alot of custom graphics but get asked for specific vehicle graphics such as the new camaro strip...
I have replaced the lines in the pumps on a mimaki JV3 worked great just use the right tubing. Some tubing is softer than others. http://www.solventinkonline.com should have the tubing just make sure you get the clear tubing the white tubing is alot softer and wont last long in the pump. Call...
Perhaps you could do a digital print and apply it to a substrate like Max-Metal the customer could use (supplied by you) 3M VHB tape or some kind of double sided foam tape. Just put the tape around the edges of the sign. When they are done with them they could remove them like I remove emblems...
I agree most laminates seem to be anti graffiti. I have found that some cleaners will tear up laminate but most semi harsh cleaners wont effect the laminate and get the marker, paint off no problem.
Racershawn,
I believe everyone has given you some great ideas. I feel that you need to work on the contrast of the lettering as everyone else has stated. I also think mybe you should try a real picture of the inside of a house then remove the drywall in an area or half the wall to reveal the...
Isign,
Your right I feel the single panels will be easier to manage. I plan to install the graphics on the wall after the substrate like doing a vehicle wrap so alignment should be ok. The price on the lexan was 100" wide was $37 per linear foot. The cost wasnt to bad compared to what the sign...
Isign,
I was looking at running a single 7' wide piece of lexan that is why the horizontal seam. If you look in the materials forum there is a thread started by me that covers the job details. I had thought about the panels but wanted more protection. Hopwever after speaking with the client I...
Ok quick question what material do you guys recommend for doing a reverse print on clear with? Also gotta question about install. If you read my other post about substrates I said I am doing a wall mural that is 7' tall and 40' long. I am thinking of doing a reverse print with clear then back it...
Atro8,
I understand about the pics. I just figured a pic would be easier to figure how you guys did it. I get what you did you mounted it with tape and used a trim boarder with screws to cover edges and keep it in place.
Correct me if I am wrong but you guys reverse printed it on clear...
Thanks for the replies I have a wallpaper place finding the wall covering stuff as we speak. The fiberglass stuff sounds great but I think it would be a pain considering the location not to mention the smell. As for the alumilite panels that pretty much what I was thinking but never had to put...
Astro8,
If you want please pm me more details as to what you used and how you did it pics would be great or post them here for all if you want.
The client has a large budget and this is one of several jobs they are looking at us for so the better it is the more work I get.
I can not go over the current paneling because it is that old 1970's wood paneling with the vertical grooves in it and would look horrible if I wrapped it. It was also done wrong and has big gaps between panels and a million screws in it that are not flush at all.
