I have had some issues with my JV3160S using Flexi with dark stripes.
I have gone through the cals and gotten pretty close.
I just tweeked the media comp and its almost there but the problem I see is that the cyan head lays down a strip one row of dots first at the beginning of the print (the...
Artbot,
That was what I was thinking how many here need or use the DX4 heads and would like to go in together and buy a few from china. I was looking at a China distributor place just a minute ago and found that you can get the heads for around $560 give or take a little have to order 5 i...
I can not get the link you posted to open. However it seems that you are mistaking Epson stylus pro 10600 for the DX4 part number of 10600 (which I thought was actualy 10000). I did find a manual for another printer that used the head you are refrencing and the VERY bad picture of it looked...
Maybe its a Florida thing but I am with OldPaint in the $200 to $300 plus design fee for the logo installed. I know what several of the others in town charge and we are not the cheapest nor the most expensive where pretty close to middle maybe a little over. Now if its in the air price is higher...
I do like the ability to select what color I am looking at as that would make alignment easier select color and have a grid on laptop screen then select color B and see where it lines up to the grid. Super simple but the other one is ALOT cheaper. I bet theres away to shift colors on the chaeper...
No it has been done the only real problem is that the skids or rollers that the boat sits on when on the trailer will scratch it and eventually put a hole in it then the water can get in. I have seen a lot of boats wrapped that go under the water but they usually stop part way down the V of the...
Tbaker,
Thanks for the link to Jims microscope that is awesome I will be buying one of those. Yippie no more leaning over to look through the scope (I Love Technology)
I like the new cards way to go sometimes simplicity is key ( I wish some of the wrap designs I see had more simplicity).
Brandon,
I would like to know where you get your cards as the foil is nice you can PM me the info.
Most of the wrap materials will be fine so choose the one you prefer. The big thing with boats is the water line. You need to seal it well if you dont and water gets under it the wrap will come off quick. I usually try to stay up just a little from the waterline and use some laminate to seal the...
Use the right material its worth it in the end. Oracal 3551 RA is good but not for this kind of application. I use it on trailers that have small rivets all day long. We are moving over to the Supercast for everything its not that much more and we dont have to wory about the application it will...
Same as what the other guys have said.
1. You will need a paralel or firewire cable (parallel is slower).
There are 2 sizes of firewire cable you need the big one for the printer.
2. You are going to need a rip program (ie Flexi, Onyx, Wasatch).
Mimaki's site only has drivers for Windows so you...
Tbaker,
thank for the info I will take a look at the heads with a scope to see if I can see the dried ink then give them a soft wiping to try and get the deflections removed. I will double check the cal on the heads also as iknow Lc, Lm head is out.
Thanks everyone for the help hopefully I...
Building my own profiles has crossed my mind however we do not have the proper tools to do it at the moment. So I am pretty much stuck with the factory profiles for now. I must say that from what I know and have been told we have never really had issues with the factory profiles but we also will...
Tbaker,
Thanks for the input do you have any other info that may help.
If you like you could PM me about cleaning the actual screen I figure its already jacked if it makes it worse then replace the head if it fixes it well great.
Any and all info you could give would be great.
Tbaker you...
The heaters are at 40 pre and 45 print by default in the profile so i will try dropping them. Prints are dry by the time they get to the take up reel but black just looks like it is laying down pools of ink. I am using triangle bulk ink system full solvent inks. I will try 8 pass bi everything...
Mike,
Working on this printer is cake for me. I use to work on multi million dollar radar systems for the Marine Corps.
I did notice that the yellow has a gap betwen it and cyan so I will adjust that when I cal the LcLm head tuesday. I will also adjust the linearization of the ink I believe...
I do not have any corel programs but I do have Adobe illustrator.
I am not sure it is a Flexi issue as if you look at the picture I posted the solid Cyan and solid Magentta bands are printed through the test print menu on the printer it self in fact the rip computer wasnt even on when I did...
