  1. Beachfront house sign before and after...

I totally agree with you that it was ultra preppy... unbelievable.
  2. Beachfront house sign before and after...

Well hey is that the reason why everybody's work is going to heck around here... posting on this website and all of the people say "that's cool"... "that's the next big trend"... and dissenting opinions are not allowed... and all of a sudden we're left asking why signs look like **** anymore...
  3. Beachfront house sign before and after...

Hey don't knock a different perspective... I was just making my point as to how I would do it... especially after finding out that the budget was $1000... better believe I wouldn't have wasted my time/money on the posts. Quote it high and stick it in the old frame... maybe stain the old posts...
  4. Beachfront house sign before and after...

Too modern and cheap for me... would have been nice with just the sign within the old posts. The new one screams "cheap... tacky"... old one screams "permanence.... here a long time"... which do the multimillioniare homeowners want... probably the "permanence"... weeds and shrubbery def. needed...
  5. VE LXI software... filling outlines

Oh, I had a EPS disc as well... something about the VE LXI I had just wouldn't work with EPS files. .DXF was the fastest way to get it done.
  6. Buying a Different Plotter

I had a 24" plotter, was real happy with that one. Thinking about just staying with the same width as that is a good size for the space that I have to work with. Thank you for the information on the Graphtec rebranding, I didn't know that. Thank you very much for the replies! Joseph
  7. Buying a Different Plotter

I just sold my Panther. I was real happy with it, but now I need to buy a newer machine. I'm looking at the QE60+ from SW, found one that's a couple years old for a thousand dollars. I need the software to run it as well. Does anyone have any opinion on these machines and how well they'd...
  8. VE LXI software... filling outlines

I have a bunch of .dxf clip art... specifically Vector Art Mega Art Collection. I want to put together some multiple color cliparts. I got a palm tree done, but without filling in my clipart, it's hard to see how it'll come out. :banghead::banghead:Working with VE LXI software, I've been...
  9. Really hate to ask... but I've been looking for this for 30 mins...

No my phone doesn't have a browsing history. The thread had everything from cupholders, to t-shirts. I think it was talking about heat transferring shirts, and for longer runs he ordered them in, there was a catalog that was imprinted with his shop name, some of the things I remember from his...
  10. Really hate to ask... but I've been looking for this for 30 mins...

Fred... I appreciate your reply, but that isn't the right one... this dude had posted a link/information to almost EVERYTHING you could think of for marketing materials for a sign shop... there were 3 pictures of his shop/setup... it was really good, just can't find it... when I do I'm printing...
  11. Really hate to ask... but I've been looking for this for 30 mins...

P.S.... I found it on the "current threads" off my phone on Forum Runner... really hoping someone can point me to the thread, I forgot what the title was, but it was really impressive.
  12. Really hate to ask... but I've been looking for this for 30 mins...

There was a post I read around 12:00 today... somebody was talking about this catalog they can get imprinted with their own logo/sign company name and that they could order in a lot of custom made stuff and they could buy blank material... I can't for the life of me find that thread!!!! It also...
  13. Blank banner sales price discount %?

Thats my favorite... makes the most sense unless your shop costs are higher.. Figure out what you need to make an hour!
  14. Just another new guy!

Oh, probably not. I came into this forum and asked a few questions and pretty much got laughed off of here. People on here aren't too impressed that a "lawn care" guy is on a "sign forum".... hey.... it's my internet wide username... and I Did mow lawns! I'm impressed at the size of your shop-...
  15. Just another new guy!

I'm surprised that you haven't gotten a good flaming yet. I can believe that you took 7 hours to do that sign... two registration marks on top of each decal aligned up with a line and split transfer taped would have made your work much easier. I can't be one to judge, but based on the looks of...
  16. Political/election templates - where to purchase?

I would certanily agree with this analysis... I've only been interested in this for a month, but I've learned a lot and I wouldn't dare ask for an Election Sign Template. Just... Times New Roman font it and "ELECT RON PAUL 2012"... and make it fit on a 18x24 sign... Seriously. I've read a lot...
  17. Anyone know where to find this?

Who am I to comment, but it looks to me that would be a pretty simple clip art to reproduce with a Wacon.
  18. Need install help.... above my head. Literally.

Just my opinion... never done this before, but when ever I've done drywall I just made T-posts that fit just right under whatever ceiling I was doing. I can see you doing that here. I thought maybe you should do it in several different pieces, but then you'd have to align it, and that would be a...

What kind of tool box? Red stanley with handle on top, black toolbox with silver sides? Please update and let us know what kind. If it's the Red Stanley with handle, wrap entire bus including doing windows in perf, leave white space at top and shadow in where angle would go and put black...
