What about using mirror clip hangers.

Can be a huge headache when installing.
You can get away with it you're doing it on a table
with wet application or mounting using your laminator.
But on the wall I would strongly recommend either masking it for stability...
Vertical installation.
You should always work with gravity other than against it.
I know that one piece sounds a lot better then panelling
but if you do it right then the install should look seem less.
Vinyl is going to be better and cleaner then using paper and glue.
