  1. Where to find these templates

My old trick is to use Google and search for the vehicle name and year pdf brochure, and often the manufacture will have a pdf brochure that has scaled drawings and dimensions included. For example I searched Google for Chevy Express pdf, and found this brochure...
  2. Help pricing sign..

OK, you started this out asking for HELP PRICING SIGN, so now that it's done HELP us and tell us what you CHARGED the customer? Oh, and I'm glad to hear you did the job YOUR way, sometimes it's best just to roll up your sleeves and get the job done yourself!:thumb:

  4. HELP! Looking for a semi-gloss Black vinyl to match OEM Dodge graphics

I believe the OEM material used is 3M1080-S12 Satin Black, anyway that is what I read somewhere in the past. This material is Repositionable, and will allow you to adjust the placement before sticking it down...
  5. Enough is enough already............................

I don't make many magnetic signs, so I have had the same roll of Magnum for several years (3 or 4), and like mentioned above, the material on the roll clings to itself tightly on the roll, and I have never had any problems. However, I have noticed the newer magnetic sign material doesn't stick...
  6. Enough is enough already............................

Gino, I believe you are RIGHT, their product has CHANGED, (less stick'em). There is ONLY one thing you can do, change vendors, DON'T purchase Magnum any longer. I don't think you can fight them directly, but if ALL of us don't purchase their POOR product any longer, then we can put a dent in...
  7. Going to SGIA for the first time.. I got some questions

You can dress however, polo and jeans is fine. I have not heard of any Signs101 meet up. Well, it's Vegas so what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, as they say.... The one thing I didn't like was the high prices they charge for bottled water (I think it was $4 or $5), so I plan to bring a few...

  9. Sprinter disaster - what's next?

The video was produced by Arlon under their Wrap It Right series, and Ritchie Daize does a great job explaining how to Wrap It Right. Here is another good video on how to manage HEAT and TENTION when wrapping a vehicle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU3lneyhaCU#t=18
  10. Sprinter disaster - what's next?

Most people heat the vinyl in the channel and this will lead to failure (like you photos), the vinyl in the channel is the weak-point, so it should NOT be heated and stretched. Heat the vinyl away from the channel so there is NO stretched vinyl in the channel. See the attached video for how and...

  12. Wraptacular

I like your scenario, makes sense except for one thing, the sale flyer is NOT from a small 1-2 person shop. It came from a decent sized sign shop with a good web presence. Here is a screen capture of there October Special wholesale printed wrap price.
  13. Picking up a Roland SP-300V on Monday....

Yes it's slower then the newer machines, however if you get it setup right and have the right profiles, you will be able to print your inserts on the right photo paper. I agree, I would keep the other cutter and use it for cutting vinyl, use the 300 as a printer. Good luck and keep us informed...

  20. Industrial Sewing Machine

I was right were you are the last two years, and I did a lot of research on this site and others. Lockstitch is preferred for banners so the thread does not unravel like chain stitch, as mentioned It's better to get a machine with a compound walking foot to pull the heavy vinyl as the hem is...
