  3. Importance of kerning?

Big huge piles of difference between logo and body text.
  4. New to perf printing - any do's/don't's?

Print as you would normally print vinyl and don't freak out that it looks like crap as it prints. They look terrible til they hit glass. If not laminating on big windows I go with rapid tac 2 to avoid tears and get it down super fast and easy.
  5. windows 10 for free

Free things are usually worth the price.
  6. Attaching aluminum composite panel to post

Angle and Lords adhesive. Have a fairly large sign just in sight of the shop we used Lords and this method on as a test for future reference. That sucker aint goin' nowhere.

I would think cnc + flatbed or process very similar as well.
  10. Any idea how to make... THIS?

Honestly the best way to figure out how to copy something is to tear it apart. Do they have an old or damaged one down somewhere?
  11. Need help finding source for this

I get granite tiles from HD and blast them with spot gun from harbor freight then paint before removing stencil after blast. Trim out however you want.
  12. Elevator Door Graphics

Phototex. Laminate isn't going to stop a gurney from damaging a print. When it is time to remove it will be clean and easy instead of a nightmare. With elevators it is all about being fast unless you plan on installing in the middle of the night when it's just you and the night watchman.
  13. Real Estate signage challenge

Exactly, anchors and braces. You can use pretty hefty ones in asphalt and when sign is removed a little bit of asphalt patch from HD should handle the holes just fine.
  14. I see the ad and had to ask..

Had to update. Don has been fantastic with his customer service. Turns out a new roll that came today runs perfect through the printer so I'm guessing I just got the one lucky roll that had issues. Don has stuck with it and made it right front to back. I will continue to use him and recommend...

  16. (Manlift) To Buy or Not To Buy

Yep, mine is 21,000gvw. registered as just a truck. No cdl required. DOT #'s and registration was a five minute phone call at no charge. I would still pick up a towable if I found one cheap at the right time. Never too many toys.
  17. (Manlift) To Buy or Not To Buy

Love my bucket almost as much for the ability to tote 5 tons of tools and a generator as I do for not having to use a ladder to get high. I use it much more than I ever thought I would. Pull behinds have their place as well but if I had to choose one over the other I would definitely go with...
  18. I see the ad and had to ask..

I'm a little gun shy on them right now. Have a roll of air egress that won't go through printer without buckling and causing strikes. Has made my day today and last night hell.
